Participants in ACOG’s 2024 Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting Emergencies in Clinical Obstetrics hands-on training
Greetings,
It gives me great pleasure to share the ACOG and ACOG Foundation 2024–25 Opportunities for Support Catalog. We are excited to present a host of opportunities through which corporations with shared goals can engage with us as we work to achieve our vision of an equitable world in which exceptional and respectful ob-gyn care is accessible to all.
More than 62,000 ACOG members strive each day to provide optimal care to their patients, whether they practice in Maine, Mexico, or Montana. ACOG and the ACOG Foundation are committed to developing resources and training programs to bolster learning, help improve practice management, and provide critical and up-to-date information for members to share with their patients and networks.
ACOG members make a difference in the lives of millions of people each year. We hope you will join us as we empower our members through a variety of programs delivered in diverse formats and venues all designed to help them and the broader public understand ob-gyn issues such as maternal mortality, reproductive health care, and gynecologic cancers.
We are extremely grateful to our current philanthropic supporters and look forward to welcoming new industries into the ACOG community in 2024 and 2025.
Best wishes,
Kendra Davis Senior Director, Philanthropy ACOG and ACOG Foundation
Founded in 1951, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) is the premier professional membership organization for ob-gyns. The College produces practice guidelines for health care professionals and educational materials for patients, provides practice management and career support, facilitates programs and initiatives to improve obstetric and gynecologic health, and advocates for members and patients.
ACOG is comprised of 12 Districts. These Districts are made up of 93 Sections. ACOG’s Districts and Sections represent various regions, countries, territories, and states in North, Central, and South America. ACOG Fellows are board-certified ob-gyns whose professional activities are devoted to the practice of obstetrics and gynecology, who possess unrestricted licenses to practice medicine, and who have attained high ethical and professional standing. Nearly 80% of our members are physicians.
An investment in the ACOG Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, helps us further our mission to improve health outcomes for the millions of patients that our more than 63,000 members serve. These opportunities build better leaders, mentors, and teachers to advance the profession with the ultimate goal of delivering the highest level of care to patients. The Foundation also offers patient-centered educational content around ob-gyn topics that help promote better understanding of certain conditions, diseases, and treatments that ob-gyns and patients can access to improve care.
To support our members to improve the lives of all seeking obstetric and gynecologic care, their families, and communities.
To support charitable, educational, and scientific programs and activities that further the interests of ACOG members and their colleagues, improving the lives of all people seeking obstetric and gynecologic care, their families, and communities.
ACOG maintains relationships with a variety of corporations, foundations, and other organizations committed to excellence in ob-gyn care. We accept financial and in-kind support only if such acceptance does not pose a conflict of interest and donations and support are separated from and do not impact ACOG’s clinical content, priorities, and actions. ACOG retains complete control of the development, implementation, and assessment of all content and materials related to our work. ACOG staff will work with corporations to determine if their contribution will be directed to ACOG or the ACOG Foundation.

OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY
RESIDENT REPORTER PROGRAM
$50,000
The Resident Reporter Program strengthens the knowledge and skills of 40–60 ob-gyn residents yearly at the ACSM by providing residents a chance to attend the ACSM, where they cover sessions of their choice in addition to a number of all-attendee events, write up their experiences, and share their stories with District members. This program highlights the value of lifelong learning and self-assessment, which are skills that will serve our resident reporters throughout their careers.
Supporters will receive recognition during all phases of the program, and an ob-gyn representative from the supporting corporation will be invited to participate in a panel at the ACSM to offer perspectives and insights to the attendees. Please note that support for the Resident Reporter Program must be confirmed by January 15, 2025, and that a maximum of three industry sponsors are permitted to fund this unique program.
CREOG RESIDENTS AS TEACHERS AND LEADERS
$30,000 WORKSHOPS PER WORKSHOP
The Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) Residents as Teachers and Leaders Workshops represent the largest gathering of future obgyns. Attendees learn how to provide excellent care for their patients during residency by further developing their skills as effective teachers and leaders of their medical teams and engaging with subject matter experts on topics fundamental to their development. Through interactive presentations, group discussions, and creative problemsolving exercises, residents gain the knowledge and tools necessary to lead their peers and serve as exemplary teachers for the junior residents and medical students for whom they are responsible. The workshops expose participants to general principles of leadership and adult learning, help them identify their personal leadership styles, provide specific tools and insights for immediate practice and application, share valuable information and takeaway points from their colleagues and our experienced faculty, and build camaraderie and establish a new network of supportive peers.
Supporters are invited to attend educational sessions and will receive recognition at the beginning and end of the program and on signage, along with Silver-level benefits. ACOG is planning to host three CREOG workshops in 2025.
• Effective tools for teaching in a clinical setting
• Establishing a productive and effective working climate
• Implementing change and innovation
• Building productive teams
• Technological advances in graduate medical education
$20,000
The CREOG Education Retreat is one of two of the largest gatherings of ob-gyn educators. It provides academic leaders in ob-gyn an opportunity to gather for important field-wide updates, share innovations in ob-gyn training, and collaborate on the implementation of new national education programs. Participants including ob-gyn residency program directors, program managers, and other leaders in graduate medical education will hear the latest in programming from representatives of ACOG, ABOG, and ACGME; attend sessions on the latest best practices in graduate medical education; and have structured conversations about the implementation of specialtywide initiatives. Participants are often the mentors of the residents who come to our workshops, offering a continuity of resource-sharing and reinforcing key messaging. Perhaps most importantly, the CREOG Education Retreat provides the field’s educators with the opportunity to gather as a community, share their experiences, and learn new skills and strategies from each other—something they consistently report as key to their success.
ACOG will offer this opportunity to one exclusive sponsor to ensure the highest level of visibility and deepened engagement with participants.
Sample of Topics Covered
• Resident, program manager, and faculty wellness
• Innovative models of mentoring and sponsorship
• Competency-based medical education

INTRODUCTORY HANDS-ON SKILLS WORKSHOP FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS
$20,000
Each year at the ACSM, ACOG offers up to 500 medical students the opportunity to learn different hands-on skills needed throughout the career of an ob-gyn. During a threehour skill-building session, program participants rotate through 10 stations with the guidance of experienced ob-gyns, covering areas such as laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, imaging, pelvic exams, and contraception. The goal of this interactive session and mentorship from this expert medical team is to inspire participants to pursue a career in the ob-gyn profession.
Supporters will receive a special shout-out at the event and prominent signage throughout the training area.
$25,000
The Emergencies in Clinical Obstetrics (ECO) training, offered as an in-person precourse at ACOG’s ACSM, includes a Train the Trainers course and a hands-on practicum. The Train the Trainers course is designed for individuals who wish to become organizers or instructors of the ECO course and is led by trainers (all current ACOG members and ob-gyns) and includes an overview of how to prepare for and execute the ECO course. Participants will also receive hands-on instruction in teaching how to successfully manage obstetrical emergencies.
The hands-on practicum in the afternoon focuses on five common obstetric emergencies: vaginal breech delivery, shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, umbilical cord prolapse, and hypertensive urgency or eclampsia. The practicum includes evidence-based, hands-on simulation stations that emphasize technical skills, teamwork, and communication. All participants must complete an online didactic learning module before attending the in-person training.
Supporters will be recognized at the Bronze level or above, depending on the level of commitment.
GREATEST-NEEDS FUND
$10,000+
The ACOG Foundation gratefully accepts funds that help the organization respond rapidly to emerging issues in obstetrics and gynecology and support ACOG’s educational programs and operations. Greatest-needs funds help support initiatives that are unexpected but pressing, such as ACOG’s COVID-19 response efforts.
Donors will receive recognition and benefits based on the level of their gift to the fund.
OB-GYN WELLNESS PROMOTION FUND
$10,000+
Between managing increased patient load, confronting concerns regarding malpractice litigation, and dealing with the effects of the post-Dobbs environment, ob-gyns are operating under increasing levels of pressure. Stressors are contributing to burnout and increased levels of attrition in the profession. To help combat these alarming trends, ACOG has established a Wellness Promotion Fund. Wellness promotion funds provide an evaluation of these trends and critical resources for ob-gyns in all stages of their career, such as workshops, leadership trainings, and the establishment of support networks across ACOG membership to help members and their families address the challenges of the current landscape.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE
$10,000+
As a leader in obstetrics and gynecology, ACOG continues to work toward meaningful change by striving to advance the culture of medicine and eliminate inequities in the delivery of health care and health care outcomes. Join us in our commitment to combating racism and ensuring inclusivity in the health care field by supporting our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence Fund. We understand that to truly achieve these changes, it is essential that our organization, membership, leadership, and fellowship be diverse, equitable, inclusive, reflective of our patients, culturally competent and just. Learn more about ACOG’s collective action strategy.
Donors will receive recognition and benefits based on the level of their gift to the fund and recognized on the DEI page on ACOG’s website.
In 2022, ACOG’s Equity Transformation team engaged in a process to develop and launch a strategic Collective Action Against Racism operationalization plan. The five-year strategy lays out our approach to the work and strategy for transforming the culture of obstetric and gynecologic medicine and addressing inequities in health outcomes. Below are examples of the DEI programming available for support:
• Betsey, Lucy, and Anarcha Days of Recognition and Memorial Lecture: This memorial lecture is delivered yearly in honor of Betsey, Lucy, and Anarcha, three enslaved Black women whose exploitation led to foundational advances in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
• The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Delegation: This delegation brings together three members from each of ACOG’s 12 Districts to collaborate on ongoing regional and state DEI programming.
• CREOG Inclusive Excellence Program: The CREOG Inclusive Excellence Program, launched by the ACOG Foundation with generous support from Hologic, Inc., features one focus area per year for the next five years: culture of inclusion, demonstrable leadership support, action-oriented accountability, research intervention and best practices, and enhanced flexibility options, respectively. Three interactive webinars will be held yearly addressing the topic of the year. Participants will develop action projects for which they will apply for small implementation grants; participants whose projects are funded will present write-ups of their projects at the CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting and the annual CREOG Educational Retreat to ensure a strong multiplier effect.
• Inclusive Excellence in Action initiative: This initiative provides education designed for ob-gyns who have been in practice for over 10 years and may not have received the breadth and depth of DEI training that has become more prevalent in recent years. Designed and implemented by an expert advisory team, this program will be executed with the assistance of ACOG’s DEI delegation through a micro-learning approach, which is a learning and development strategy that provides topicspecific lessons that can be applied immediately and in a variety of settings. The micro-learning approach will help make DEI training for busy physicians more accessible and actionable and thus more effective. The curriculum will be shared and made available for all meetings in the ACOG event portfolio to ensure a strong multiplier effect.
