Christmas Is Coming in the Fairy Tale World

Snow White AND THE SEVEN DWARFS

Surely you’ve heard of beautiful Snow White, haven’t you? Do you remember how she escaped from her wicked stepmother? And how, when she ran into the woods, she came across a house where the seven dwarfs lived? Along with them and the animals in the woods, Snow White is decorating her cottage and preparing a delicious dinner. The first day of Christmas that they spend together will be unforgettable!

Pinocchio

While patient Geppetto prepares the Christmas decorations, cutting a wooden log just like he did to make Pinocchio, the puppet is playing hide-and-seek with the wise Jiminy Cricket. Where do you think that little insect is hiding?

PIN THE NOSE ON THE WOLF I

Today, Little Red Riding Hood and her grandma are playing a very fun game! They drew the face of a wolf on a large piece of paper taped to the door. They then cut out lots of circles made of black paper and attached double-sided tape to the back of each. Here’s how they play: one at a time, with their eyes closed, they try to stick the circle-nose on the wolf’s snout. Do you want to try?

• Glue the decorations onto the triangles. Those decorations can be buttons, beads, small pom-poms, or any other material that you can dream up. • Once the glue has dried, take the clothespins and clip one to the base of each little tree to make it stand upright. Keep going, and you’ll create an entire forest!

• Cut out lots of triangles from the cardboard and paint them white for a snowy landscape, or green if you want to make traditional Christmas trees. If the cardboard is a bit tough, do what Little Red Riding Hood does and ask an adult for help!

• scissors • buttons, beads, or small pom-poms

• cardboard • white or green tempera paint • clothespins

YOU’LL NEED

Grandma likes the forest so much that she decided to live right in the middle of it! For Christmas, she can’t wait to bring the atmosphere of the forest inside her little house as well, creating, together with her granddaughter, lots of small Christmas trees out of cardboard. If you, too, want to recreate a Christmas forest in your home, follow Grandma’s instructions.

CHRISTMAS TREES

As you listen to it, you, too, could make a Christmas drawing to put on your front door!

CHRISTMAS

WE WISH YOU A MERRY

From Grandma’s house come the merry notes of her favorite Christmas song, a real classic:

IFAVORITE

GRANDMOTHER’S

Little Red Riding Hood is collecting twigs, leaves, and dried flowers. She wants to use them to decorate the Christmas card she’s making for her grandmother. Isn’t that a nice idea? You can make a beautiful greeting card decorated with pine needles and colorful leaves, too. Glue them on a sheet of paper, creating a beautiful pattern, add a message, and then give the card as a gift to whomever you want!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, FROM THE WOODS I

THREE Little Pigs

This time, the little pigs aren’t at the house of straw. They aren’t at the house of sticks and they aren’t in the one made of bricks either. To celebrate Christmas, the three little pigs are guests at the wolf’s house! But what happened to the third one? No, no, don’t worry. The wolf recently became a vegetarian.
