When we created AGC back in 2012 our dream was to create a company bursting with like-minded individuals with big dreams and bundles of passion.

Imagining a world where the thought of going to work on a Monday wasn’t a chore and through dreaming of an environment where Anything Is Possible, AGC was born and the adventure started!

2014 WINS BEST INTERIOR DESIGNA.LONDON scooped an interior design award in the UK stage of the International Property Awards for the St George scheme at Sovereign Court.

AGC OPENS IT’S DOORSAlec and Stella co-found AGC and our story begins.

RELEASES ACCOUTER

ONEAccouter Design released the inaugural edition of AccouterONE, the bespoke publication reflecting the luxury that inspires their designs. Published annually, this luxurious book features some of the country’s finest writers discussing every corner of luxury life.

2015 CHAS ACCREDITATIONAGC was awarded with their CHAS accreditation for achieving standards in its approach to best practice and health and safety, all whilst continuing to deliver triple digit growth for the third successive year.

2016 BEST PLACES TO WORK IN PROPERTYAGC were recognised as one of the Best Places to Work in Property in 2016 acknowledging us as one of the best property companies in the UK.

WINS BEST INTERIOR DESIGNA.LONDON was awarded their third Best Interior Design award in the UK stage of the International Property Awards for their Saint Martin’s Loft project in Soho.

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND IN THE INDUSTRY?

Previously I was a director at a Real Estate, Financial Services and Banking FTSE 100 company.

YOUR FAVOURITE AGC MOMENT?

There are too many to choose from! Seeing how well our talented people are doing is always very rewarding and fulfilling.

YOUR FAVOURITE PROJECT?

Again difficult to choose one but at the beginning, we worked with a major client for 6 months without getting any projects and when we finally did it was a really small one, it did lead however to an industry game changing relationship which has now reached global proportions.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

In my down time I enjoy playing tennis, golf and cycling and of course always having fun!

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND IN THE INDUSTRY?

Before entering the world of interiors, my experience was in managerial and creative roles for luxury retail brands, in both the UK and USA. Since joining AGC my background has been co-ordinating, team building and building strong relationships in both B2B and B2C roles, while also taking an active leadership role in the growth of Knight Frank Interiors Services and a Group Director role.

YOUR FAVOURITE PROJECT?

There have been many! The achievements of the talent we have within the group has been nothing short of fantastic and each year we continue to grow, innovate and surprise ourselves at just what you can achieve when you believe anything is possible!

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

I grew up Horse riding, skiing and I love to make a house a home!

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND IN THE INDUSTRY?

I have over 20 years in the industry, having always worked in high-end luxury interiors both in the UK and internationally. I have been on BIID panels, a judge at the International Property awards, had work featured in Vogue and most recently Walpole’s 50 most influential people in British Luxury list!

YOUR FAVOURITE AGC MOMENT?

An annual highlight for me is always when ‘employees of the year’ get cardboard cut outs of themselves at the Christmas party… and they have to carry it home or else!

YOUR FAVOURITE PROJECT?

So many, but recently I completed a small apartment in Regents Crescent for a very young client, studying fashion at St Martins. We created the most fun, colourful pop art scheme for her London base

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND IN THE INDUSTRY?

I previously worked in sales, marketing and PR. Since then I’ve gained an incredible 9 years of experience in business development at AGC. Ultimately becoming a Group Director.

YOUR FAVOURITE AGC MOMENT?

I went to Singapore with AGC, which was an incredible! I’ve also been on the AGC ski trip and

took part in our several of our charity bike rides.

YOUR FAVOURITE PROJECT?

There have been so many! But my current favourite is the AGC BTR Author project, such an incredible design for a communal space.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

In my free time you’ll find me outdoors, sailing, walking and of course some nice holidays here and there!

The House of Walpole, was a unique design concept between Walpole and Northacre developers, showcasing a one-of-a-kind apartment at one of the world’s most prestigious addresses, No 1 Palace Street. Having been built, designed and furnished throughout by Walpole member brands including Mulberry, Savoir Beds, & our very own Bazaar, this show apartment inspired by the surrounding gardens at Buckingham Palace was an ultimate expression of British luxury and craftsmanship.

WHAT ACTIVITY DO YOU DO IN YOUR TIME AWAY FROM THE OFFICE THAT HELPS YOU RELAX AND RECENTRE AFTER A STRESSFUL WEEK?

Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” This couldn’t resonate with me more. The working world, with its endless process and strategy and planning, always seems to make spontaneous innovation more of a challenge. So, at home, we’ve built a 'Creation Station’ which overlooks the garden. It’s disguised as an area for the 4-year-old in the house and the purpose is to draw, paint and make a mess; but really it’s designed for me. It's the perfect place to recentre, spend wholesome time with the family and be an artist again.

funny, but there are also some great messages in there. If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original. Educate somebody’s whole being and then identify their talents and create circumstances for them to show themselves.

At school we teach the people that will lead the world in 65 years time; and we don’t even know what 5 years from now looks like. Are we best to teach? Your people who are there in the moment are the ones who keep you relevant, so lead with their inspiration and don’t get left behind.

Since 2012 we’ve been on a mission to be the best furnishing and interior provider on the planet. Now we are on a mission to make the planet a better place too.

As a future-focused collective, we realise how much difference we could be making on environmental and social levels. So instead of sustaining and maintaining our performance, we are prioritising plans to regenerate and commence a never-ending journey towards

SUSTAINABILITY

In parallel with our desire to continuously create new and innovative designs, our pledge towards sustainability is an equally evolving journey.

We are constantly looking for ways to develop our awareness and knowledge of sustainability within the interior design industry. Understanding the increasingly important role we play in protecting the planet, has encouraged us to focus our efforts on introducing an increasing amount of sustainable measures.

Through initiatives with our teams, customers, our supply chain, the wider community, and by being transparent and accountable, we plan to do more than just heal the environment. That’s why we are proud to have achieved our B Corp certification, and are continuously proving that the breathtaking world of interiors can also be a beneficially breathtaking world.

We are investing in the future, and our dedicated ‘Eco-Warrior’ team will direct our efforts on measures that deliver the biggest impacts, aiming to continuously review and improve AGC’s environmental performance with an emphasis on minimising any destructive environmental impact.

Sustainability measures have already seen us achieve our ISO14001 Environmental certification, and we are proud of obtaining our B Corp certification. In addition, we are proud to partner with Walpole and its members to work towards a shared ambition of creating a more sustainable industry for the top British Luxury Brands.

To forever increase our offering of responsible products we must seek full traceability from our suppliers. The role of our Environmental Icons is to grade our supply chain’s product portfolio to give clarity surrounding terminology and our clients confidence in what they are buying.

However, our badging process will assist in educating us all and over time we are looking to achieve 100% traceability.

Wood has been harvested in compliance with rules and regulations to protect our natural resources.

MADE TO ORDER

Made in accordance with our customer’s specifications to minimise wastage in production.

NON-TOXIC

Product is guaranteed to be free of harmful chemicals.

ETHICAL

Supply chain conforms with all relevant International Labour Organisation (ILO) policies surrounding child labour, workers rights, freedom of association, minimum wages and health & safety.

CARBON CONSCIOUS

Supplier is Carbon Neutral or has plans in place to get to achieve this. They are able to inform us of the carbon footprint of the product they supply.

Product is manufactured or assembled within the UK

Working towards becoming sustainable with an awareness and ad hoc initiatives set out.

At AGC, we believe in the power of kindness, and we realise what a privilege it is to be able to use the powers of our business to create a positive impact on society.

CHARITABLE HOURS

Every AGC crew member receives 24 charitable hours each year to dedicate to raising money and awareness for their chosen charities.

BRITISH RED CROSS

Furniture, which has reached the end of its lifecycle with AGC is sent from our warehouse to the British Red Cross.

DONATIONS

We commit to donating a minimum of 2% of our profits each financial year. Profits are split between three charities, one of which is the Red Cross and the other two will be nominated and voted for annually by our team.

There are so many people behind AGC, and each individual and team plays an equally important role in delivering the finest interiors in the kindest way to people and the planet.

Whether it be our Marketing team using recyclable materials for literature or moving to digital business cards, our Operations team reviewing the power of our fleet or Business Management reviewing recruitment policies and ‘Accouter Academy’ training packages, the responsibility lands with us all.

If an AGC crew member is participating in a charitable challenge or initiative, AGC will match the donations that AGC employees have collectively donated to this cause. We also will do whatever we can to support a charity challenge that an employee participates in, be it personal or industry-led.

AGC FUN BUDGETS

Each month there is a £25 fun budget made available to each employee within your teams you can pick an activity to do together. Teams are able to build on their budgets and use it across a quarter for a bigger activity such as a festival, spa day or tickets to a show!

PENSION

On your 3rd month with AGC, you will be enrolled into an optional pension scheme, your contribution will be 5% of your gross salary and the company will pay an additional 4% into your pot on your behalf.

We offer you life insurance so in the event of you kicking the bucket whilst working here, a value of 4 times your salary will be provided to your family.

Being so central there are many tube stops near the office, most notably Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road. However, there are also many other smaller stations near that cover a variety of lines.

Our interior architectural and FF&E designers are responsible for creating award winning, innovative interiors and functional spaces tailored to our clients. They operate across our brands, collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences and budget. Subsequently, they develop design concepts, choose materials, colours and furnishings and supervise the seamless execution of the project.

FINANCE

The finance team at AGC provides comprehensive support to all business functions. They not only handle budgeting and financial forecasting for the company’s long-term stability and growth but also manage accounts payable and receivable. Furthermore, the finance team conducts in-depth financial analysis and reporting, offering insights that inform strategic decision-making within the organisation.

MARKETING

The marketing team provides comprehensive support across all of our brands, addressing various marketing needs, including social media management, digital design, PR strategies, graphic design, SEO optimisation, and the creation of video and audio content. They ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms which are specific to each brand, maximising brand visibility and engagement.

PROJECT DELIVERY

Project Delivery are responsible for overseeing the successful execution of curated furniture package projects from inception to completion. They coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that schemes are implemented efficiently, meeting client expectations and quality standards.

BUYING

Providing support across all our brands, our buying team is responsible for sourcing and procuring furnishings, managing supplier relationships, our cost pricing, and ensuring the quality and sustainability of products. They collaborate closely with our brands to align purchases with project requirements.

LOGISTICS & OPERATIONS

Our logistics team is our very own frontline and the face for all of our brands. These AGC superheroes tirelessly execute installations for projects that our teams have worked so hard to win, design and procure. A best-in-class crew and the smartest dressed in town, our logistics team engage directly with customers and consistently deliver to the highest standards, thereby upholding our ongoing reputation for excellence. Operationally, the team also work closely with sales, design and project delivery to ensure a seamless and timely install.

SALES

Sales play a crucial role of acquiring new clients and projects, promoting our brand’s design services and expertise. Working closely with the design team, they cultivate and nurture client relationships, understand client requirements, and propose design services.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND HR

The business management and HR team at AGC oversee the day-today office operations and human resources functions. They ensure regulatory compliance, facilitate employee development initiatives, and ensure that our systems and software are working effectively.
