YOUNG INKLINGS FOR EDUCATORS

We provide you with classroom resources to help your writers develop their unique voices.

We provide you with classroom resources to help your writers develop their unique voices.
How? We take youth on a journey to discover and cultivate their writing voice, one step at a time.
For you, our educators, we offer resources like our monthly Writerly Play Kit to give a creative boost to your writing lessons. We want to help you inspire and encourage all of your students, no matter where they are on their writing journey.

The Inklings Fresh Ink program allows youth authors to partner with mentors as they revise their completed novel. Once completed, the author is guided through the publication process that ends with a physical book they can share with their readers. For students who are ready to revise and publish a novel or book of poetry, Fresh Ink allows them to soar!
Spark joy in your writing classroom using some of our favorite strategies that help youth writers play their way to the page. Our Writerly Play Kit gives your regular writing curriculum a creative boost through quick games, visualization activities, online videos, and more. These activities add variety and energy to your writing lessons. We hear back from teachers regularly that these games and strategies have won over even the students who dislike writing the most!
The Inklings Book Contest is a chance for every youth writer to SHINE! In this free contest, every applicant receives a personalized editorial letter in response to their entry. Winners are paired with an experienced writer-mentor who guides them through a final revision before their story or poem is published in our annual book. We also offer a complimentary online course filled with activities to guide your writers as they develop their pieces —you can use it in your classroom or at home.
