Ballyroan Library Events July 2009 During the Summer months there is a change to some of the regular activities in the library. Many of the regular events are now suspended until September. Classic Movie Nights All Welcome Wednesday 29th July at 8pm Oral History Project We are actively seeking people who grew up in the Rathfarnham area and would like to recount their memories of the area and its many changes. If you would like to take part in it please contact Barbara at 4941900.

Rathfarnham Athletic Club The annual Rathfarnham 5k Road Race will be held on Sunday 4th October 2009 at 10.00am. Free classic designed analogue watch to first 800 finishers. The Niall Mellon Township Trust Local resident Andrew Doyle is heading back to South Africa in November with The Niall Mellon Township Trust to help build much needed houses in one of the poorest townships, Wallacedene. Mrs Quins Charity Shop Says Thank You! Running or walking once again this years WOMEN'S MINI MARATHON was another huge success. Ladies and indeed some (hairy looking ladies) from all corners of the country came together to make this a great day for all the charities so dependent on the donations raised by the participants and their supporters. As always Mrs Quins Rathfarnham Village had its merry bunch of volunteers doing their bit for the Blind and Visually impaired of Ireland and we would like to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely all the supporters of our Ladies who worked so hard to raise funds for our charity.

Marlay Guild ICA Why not join our friendly and vibrant guild? We have a book club, trips to the theatre, yoga, crafts, digital photography, excellent guest speakers and you can make new friends, have a chat and enjoy an evening out. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month in the Parish Centre of the Divine Word Church, Marley Grange. Our membership is now open for the coming year 2009-2010 when we will also be celebrating the Cententary Year of the ICA.
