LOUNGING AT BIMIL
After a temporary closure, Bimil is back. The former Korean restaurant in Palma’s Plaça del Mercat has reopened as a lounge bar serving fresh Asian snacks, and some of the best cocktails in town. Opening every evening, Bimil Lounge is proving highly popular as an after-work drinks hotspot.
DE COPAS EN BIMIL LOUNGE Tras un cierre temporal, Bimil ha vuelto. El antiguo restaurante coreano situado en la Plaça del Mercat en Palma ha vuelto a abrir en concepto de “lounge bar” que sirve aperitivos asiáticos frescos y algunos de los mejores cócteles de la ciudad. Abierto todas las noches, Bimil Lounge está demostrando ser un lugar excelente para encontrarse con los amigos después del trabajo.

Das ehemalige, koreanische Restaurant in Palmas Plaça del Mercat wurde als Lounge Bar wieder eröffnet, die frische, asiatische Snacks und einige der besten Cocktails der Stadt serviert. Die jeden Abend geöffnete Bimil Lounge ist bereits sehr beliebt als Lokal für “after work drinks”.

The revival of Palma’s Sa Gerreria neighbourhood continues with the opening of new restaurant Bocalto. Located just off leafy Plaça de Quadrado, the smart eaterie, with more than a hint of ‘50s Hollywood style in the decor, excels at contemporary Mediterranean cuisine. A reference to the Spanish for ‘big mouth’, Bocalto speaks volumes about the current upbeat mood in Sa Gerreria, which is seeing the welcome gentrification of several of its old buildings.
La zona de Sa Gerreria en Palma sigue mejorando su oferta gastronómica con la apertura del nuevo restaurante Bocalto. Situado justo al lado de la Plaça de Quadrado, este elegante restaurante cuenta con una decoración caracterizada por más de un toque al estilo “Hollywood” de los años 50 y destaca por su cocina mediterránea contemporánea. Bocalto dice mucho sobre la visión optimista que hay en Sa Gerreria, que a día de hoy, da la bienvenida a la renovación de varios de sus edificios antiguos.
Die Wiederbelebung des Sa Gerreria Viertels in Palma geht mit der Eröffnung des neuen Restaurants Bocalto weiter. Direkt an der Plaza de Cuadrado gelegen bietet das schicke Lokal im Hollywood-Stil der 50er Jahre zeitgenössische, mediterrane Küche. Das Restaurant, dessen Name auf die spanische Bezeichnung für einen großen Mund zurückgeht, unterstützt das Gefühl von Auftrieb in Sa Gerreria, wo momentan diverse alte Gebäude aufgewertet werden.

The end of May saw new restaurant Markus Innobar open in seaside neighbourhood Es Molinar-Portitxol. The son of Emilio Castrejon, owner of the winning Palma gastro haunt Emilio Innobar, chef Markus Vinicios and team present fine fusion dining, with original interpretations of Asian-Mediterranean dishes. Situated opposite Nassau Beach, the restaurant boasts privileged views of the bay.
COSA DE FAMILIA A finales de mayo, el nuevo restaurante “Markus Innobar” abrió sus puertas en la zona residencial frente al mar de Es Molinar-Portitxol. Aquí, el chef Markus Vinicios, hijo de Emilio Castrejón (propietario del famoso restaurante Emilio Innobar en Palma), y su equipo presentan una cocina de fusión con nuevas interpretaciones de platos asiáticos y mediterráneos. Situado frente Nassau Beach, el restaurante ofrece unas excelentes vistas a la bahía.
