Concept Board Concept Statement

Eliza and Jake’s home serves as the heart of their lives, radiating warmth, comfort, and connection through carefully considered design. The use of pattern is subtle yet significant, with geometric motifs found in the windows, adding visual interest without overwhelming the space. The design incorporates variety through a mix of shapes and di erent structures across the rooms, creating a dynamic but cohesive environment. Balance is achieved not only through symmetry but also in the thoughtful distribution of private and common spaces throughout the home. Natural light is maximized, flowing through large windows, particularly in the common living areas.

A sense of harmony permeates the home as it provides a sanctuary for Eliza and Jake to unwind, recharge, and enjoy meaningful time with family. At the same time, it’s a well-structured space that supports the demands of their busy lives. Like a hive, the home is organized and e cient, allowing the users to seamlessly balance work, social gatherings, and relaxation. This thoughtful design fosters both their personal and professional lives, creating a vibrant yet peaceful environment that nurtures their well-being and active lifestyles.

Beehive Metaphor

The design of this space draws inspiration from the metaphor of a beehive, a structure that symbolizes community, harmony, and purpose. Just as a beehive is meticulously organized to support the well-being of its colony, the design will create a space that fosters connection, productivity, and a sense of belonging for all who live within. The walls will create a feeling of protection and privacy, while the rooms will function like individual cells, each serving a unique purpose yet all working together to support the whole. Pathways will mirror the e cient corridors of a hive, allowing movement and interaction to flow e ortlessly. This space will warrant a nurturing and vibrant environment.

Heart Metaphor

The design of this space envisions a structure that functions as the heart of a family, pulsing with warmth and life. Just as the heart circulates blood to nourish every part of the body, the design will flow throughout the home, providing comfort and security to all those who reside within. The walls will serve to protect, embracing each room with care, while the open spaces will act as arteries, allowing energy and connection to move freely, bringing the family closer together. This vision ensures that the home serves as a sanctuary where life can flourish.

Interior Block Plan

The open area is centrally located in the plan, allowing for easy flow and movement throughout the space. The bedrooms are positioned at the back to ensure privacy, and placing the laundry room nearby provides convenient access.

In this plan, a larger open area combines all the gathering spaces. Access to the outdoor space is connected to this open area, o ering the option to easily move between indoor and outdoor spaces. The common bathroom is centrally located for convenient access from all rooms.

The separation of bedrooms in this plan allows users to have their own private spaces. This block plan incorporates more open space to better connect the gathering areas.

1) This floor plan centers all the public areas towards the front of the house, pushing the private spaces to the back, creating a clear division between the two zones.

2) This floor plan rearranges the public and private areas but maintains a similar approach in creating a distinction between them.

3) This floor plan separates the bedrooms, providing more privacy between the two, while centralizing the public areas.

4) This floor plan utilizes a partition to enhance privacy between the kitchen and living room, while still maintaining an open layout.
