JOB TITLE: Installation Estimator
o Abacus are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person, who is looking for a permanent role in a busy office environment to prepare detailed cost sheets, estimates and quotations for the Company Contracts and Installation department. Working in conjunction with the Project Managers and Sales Team to ensure objectives are met within the terms of quantity and quality within timescale and ensuring target margins are met.

QUALITIES & ABILITIES
The role will consist of, but not limited to the following tasks;
• Liaising with colleagues in all design departments to complete quotations and value projects.
• Review tenders including drawings and specification and advise necessary parties on their content.
• Ensure all tenders conform to current legislation with regards to specification and health and safety.
• To ensure that any plant and materials contained within the quote are correct, fit for purpose and fully detailed.
• Present tenders to any agreed format and where required discuss with the team members.
• Recognise issues that need to be raised to senior management and report this in a timely manner to their line manager.
• Site visits as and when necessary to complete site surveys, this is nationwide.
• Other ad hoc activities to support the team and drive processes forward.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFACTAIONS
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with colleagues and key contacts at all levels to tight deadlines
• 2-3 years experience of estimating in a Construction background.
• A civils background/experience would be advantageous
• A previous technical administration background would be an advantage.
• ITC literate with specific working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Current UK driving licence is essential.
• Demonstrate good time management skills and flexibility to meet the expectation of our customers.
HOURS OF WORK:
7:30AM – 4:15PM Monday to Thursday
7:30AM – 12:00PM Friday = 37.5 hours per week
