A beneficio de In aid of
Las Obras Sociales del Santo Hermano Pedro, es una obra humanitaria con el propósitode servir y cuidar a los más pobres enfermos y abandonados de Guatemala. Ubicados en el edificio del antiguo Hospital San Pedro apóstol, construido en 1645. Son gestionadas por los Frailes Franciscanos de Guatemala, con la cooperación del Estado, empresarios y miles de voluntarios que en diferentes funciones apoyan la realización de sus programas.
Hogares y Salud, son los dos grandes escenarios desde los cuales las Obras Sociales realizan su labor humanitaria con caridad, calidad y calidez.
Obras Sociales del Santo Hermano Pedro
Obras Sociales del Santo Hermano Pedro is a humanitarian organization to serve and cares for the poor, sick, and abandoned in Guatemala. Located in the old building of San Pedro Apostle Hospital, Obras Sociales was built in 1645. It´s managed by the Franciscan Friars of Guatemala, with the cooperation of the government, businessmen, and thousands of volunteers who in different actions support the realization of their programs.
Assisted homes and Healthcare are the two main tracks from which Obras Sociales carry out their humanitarian work with charity, quality, and warmth.

La Asociación Amigos Pro Obras Sociales surge del reconocimiento y valoración de la extraordinaria labor que desarrollan en Guatemala las Obras Sociales del Santo Hermano Pedro en favor de los pobres, enfermos y abandonados del país.
Se propone como fin primordial su labor de sostenibilidad la cual realiza gestionando recursos financieros, en especie y equipamiento para el desarrollo y crecimiento de esta obra humanitaria. Es parte de su misión difundir su labor en salud, educación y cuidados en hogares al mejor ejemplo del Santo Hermano Pedro con calidad, caridad y calidez.
Associación Amigos Pro Obras Sociales
The Association emerge from the recognition and appreciation of the extraordinary work carried out in Guatemala by Obras Sociales, in favor of the poor, sick, and abandoned.
Its main objective is sustainability work, which it performs by managing the financial capital for l resources and equipment for the development and growth of this humanitarian work. Part of its mission is to broadcast the work in health, education, and Care-homes to the best example of Santo Hermano Pedro with quality, charity, and warmth.

The jaguar was a symbol of power in the Mayan culture, in which it was believed that the god of the Sun transformed into a jaguar to be able to travel during the night around the world of the dead. Efraín Recinos made an abstract plastic art piece of the jaguar and the figure currently stands out in the exterior of the Miguel Ángel Asturias Cultural Center.

The Will of Santo Hermano Pedro
In Guatemala on April 20, 1667, before Esteban Rodríguez de Ávila, Santo Hermano Pedro identified as Pedro de San José Betancur executed his sealed will. This book is a copy of the original will that is on display in one of the rooms of the National Museum of Art of Guatemala, especially sheltered and protected in an armored glass showcase.
