W.O.M.A.N. Inc. Women Organized to Make Abuse Nonexistent, Inc. (W.O.M.A.N., Inc.), is a community-based, multi-service agency, was created in 1978 as a two-bedroom shelter for survivors. Upon the creation of the Support-Line in 1979, they went from 25-30 calls a month to over 18,000 a year! The agency also provides individual counseling and support groups.
