Natasha’s Law requires full, clear allergen labelling on foods made on the premises and pre-packed for direct sale (PPDS).

The law is named after Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who died aged 15 after eating a baguette containing hidden sesame, to which she was allergic. Had it been clearly labelled, she would still be here. Her death was entirely preventable.
The introduction of Natasha’s Law in 2021 closed a dangerous loophole in food safety. The greater transparency it provides means people in the UK living with food allergies can have greater confidence that the foods they buy are safe to eat.
Thank you for helping to keep children, families and individuals with food allergies safe.
