Looking at what was relevant in today’s world, they decided that they would offer three new business sessions to give our members and the Yankton community vital information to safeguard their customers, employees and businesses.

REPLACES: BUSINESS EDUCATION EXPO Since it is difficult to meet with every chamber investor throughout the year, the Business Education & Development Committee decided that Chamber staff should meet weekly with 4 to 6 members in a peer-to-peer format to discuss challenges and opportunities of attending members.

Every member brings one main concern to share with the group and peers offer suggestions on how to help with the concern. These sessions are by invite and will be held at a different member location every month. The goal is to have all members attend at least one in the next 9 months.

NOTE FOR BUNDLED MEMBERS: If you were a sponsor for the Business Expo, your sponsorship was reallocated to the Peer to Peer Roundtable Sessions.

FEEDBACK FROM JANUARY/FEBRUARY TEST SESSIONS: Members attending felt there was value and encouraged staff to consider the reoccurring topics for future BS Sessions.

MIXING UP THE MIXERS After Hour Mixers have been under discussion for several years.

Since participation has fallen off, the Chamber will instead help members promote their open houses and events. If your business is planning an open house or special event, please contact us at least two weeks out to allow for sufficient promotion.
