“I believe that the relationship between the two countries will remain strong regardless of who leads the US and (who leads) the Philippines,” Romualdez told Derek Grossman who moderated a webinar hosted by the World Affairs Council and Town Hall on Tuesday (November 17).

Los Angeles County health officials on Wednesday (November 18) said tighter restrictions could be on their way if the rising number of COVID-19 cases would continue to rise. MANILA (Mabuhay) — The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation's (PhilHealth) expanded dialysis package should be retained as the new policy even beyond this year, Senator Risa Hontiveros said on Thursday. The state health insurer recently increased the limit for dialysis coverage from 90 to 144 sessions after stakeholders pointed out that private clinics are not complying with the PhilHealth policy which indicates that the limit of 90 dialysis sessions per year can be exceeded when a state of calamity or emergency is declared. The entire Philippines is under a state of emergency until December 19 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
