THRIVING-IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC The word THRIVE means to flourish, prosper, grow vigorously, develop well, burgeon, bloom, blossom, do well, advance, make strides, succeed! Our 77.36% approval vote shows that our properties support what we do! Thank you! The Year 2015 brought Property Owners and business teams around the table- to discuss the CRIME, Prostitution, Trash and more, which was the beginning of the 80 Watt District PBID (Property Business Improvement District!) ! 5 years later(2020) -we have a 45% decrease in crime with 24/7 Security, 40 hours a week of porter/trash services, landscaping, partnerships between law enforcement, Sac County District Attorney's and others. Our Property Owners gave us a 77.36% yes vote to continue the PBID to Year 2030!! Congratulations!

Five Years Ago-We Made A Promise...And We Kept It! The 80 Watt District 'Strategic Plan,' is a planning document created in 2016, and updated each year with the following objectives and illustrated below, the PBID (Property Business Improvement District) has consistently exceed them. Hire & monitor a private security agency to provide 24/7 security measures. DONE! Invest in LPR Cameras. Create and maintain an enhanced maintenance program, building upon existing public services. DONE! 4 days a week/ 6 hours a day Clean & Safe Adopt-a-Highway project Support, market and build upon land use to expedite development projects beneficial to the District. EVERY DAY! Daily celebrating the District- bringing in more businesses -daily! Create a Marketing Program that will ensure a cohesive and consistent brand for the District. DONE! ACCOMPLISHMENTS UPDATE 2020 The 80 Watt District has come a long way since its incorporation in 2015. We have witnessed revitalization and continually strive for business vitality. We'd like to THANK YOU for all the support by District 'Property Owners,' who VOTED YES to renew the funding of the PBID. The renewal continues our efforts which provide key services that keep the District clean and safe, vibrant and a desirable place to own property, work, live and play.

Property Values According to the County of Sacramento, assessed property values increased 5.96% from 4.60% in 2015.

The core programs and services will remain in place and will be enhanced with the following additions: Continued Assertive Security Programs C.P.T.E.D. It's been an interesting 9 months, hasn't it? We've tried to share information on #WattsHappening in the legislation that will cause your business to suffereven more. Here are some that are so crucial and needs your consideration and VOTE. 1) Proposition 15: Ballot Text: Increases Funding for Public Schools, Community Colleges, and Local Government Services by Changing Tax Assessment of Commercial and Industrial Property. Initiative Constitutional Amendment. * Increases funding for K-12 public schools, community colleges, and local governments by requiring that commercial and industrial real property be taxed based on current market value, instead of purchase price. * Exempts from taxation changes: residential properties; agricultural land; and owners of commercial and industrial properties with combined value of $3 million or less. * Any additional educational funding will supplement existing school funding guarantees. * Exempts small businesses from personal property tax; for other businesses, provides $500,000 exemption. He signed 870 and vetoed 172 — and many of those signed will affect California employers. 2) AB 3234 includes a long list of crimes where offenders could be offered diversion programs by judges to avoid a criminal record – and avoid jail time.AB 3234 would allow charges to be dismissed after completion of the program, erasing criminal behavior from the record, lawyers say.On the list of serious crimes: statutory rape, sexual assault on a minor 14 years or older, hate crimes, elder abuse and vehicular manslaughter.Manslaughter is charged in some DUI cases when the suspect is a repeat offender. SECURITY TEAM UPDATE Sacramento Protective Services (SPS) officers respond to all calls for service from any business within the District, 24 hours per day. The average response time is less then (5) minutes during our standard patrol service hours.
