Fort MacArthur Inn is the lodging operation for Los Angeles AFB. It is located in the city of San Pedro, 20 miles south of LA AFB and offers 72 non-smoking units. We strive to ensure our guests have a clean, comfortable room to guarantee a good night’s rest and a pleasant stay.

Space-Available reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance, depending on the base occupancy and at the lodging managers’ discretion. Initial & Pre-Separation Counseling

Fulfill your Initial Counseling and Pre-separation briefing requirement at this mandatory briefing preferably 18 months before separating and 24 months prior to retiring, but mandated NLT 365 days before leaving the service.

LA AFB INTRO Program

Tuesday, August 2 8 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Newcomers are briefed on some of the most important aspects that they will need for getting settled into Los Angeles AFB. Informational briefings from the A&FRC, Security Forces, the EFMP Coordinator and so many more will be provided.

All spouses are welcome to attend. The link to the virtual WebEx platform will be provided in the LA Garrison base announcements email. Must have at least 10 minimum participants

Transition Workshop (3 days) August 8-10 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Bldg. 272, Room 201-202 The three day format covers a broad range of topics from financial planning to job search to a VA benefits briefing.

Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. This workshop is mandatory for all separating members, highly recommended for retiring military members.

DOL Employment Track (2 days)

August 16 - 17 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Bldg. 272, Room 201-202 This new workshop is part of the Transition Program. It is a monthly workshop where Transitioning Service Members, Spouses, Retirees and Veterans can build a resume for a civilian or a federal job and learn interview techniques, salary negotiations and labor market information.

EFMP Family Support plays a critical role in helping families with special needs with the Identification & Enrollment and Assignment Coordination processes.

Join us and enjoy learning new skills in the kitchen when cooking and eating with friends. Youth are encouraged to bring or send in recipes from their family favorites, or from cultural family traditions. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to share their culinary skills with the team.

Sports & Recreation Fridays (Ages 9-18)

Each week we will tackle a different outdoor activity, from kickball to tennis to track-and-field.

Join the Community Center as we host a private workshop where we will create a mossy garden in a photo frame. You can create your own individual masterpiece using artificial moss, rocks, and other décor provided. This can also be a group project for a family collage where each person contributes a piece to make a big landscape.
