ODR staff will transport our solo kayaks, tandem kayaks, and stand up paddle boards to the beach so you don’t have to! There are also guided instructions for specific age groups offered during the week. Mondays and Wednesdays offer programs from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. for ages 9-18. Thursdays are offered for ages 6-8 from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.

School Age Care 2019 (Ages 5-12)

Open Recreation Program (Ages 9-18)

Before and After School Program provides age-appropriate childcare with quality programming, youth activities and events. Clubs, Activities, and USDA approved meals and snacks are offered. Transportation to and from select schools is available. The program focuses on team building, cognitive growth, and development of social awareness and problem-solving skills. The staff offers homework support to youth enrolled in the School Age Program. Registration is ongoing and based on availability. Visit to create an account.

This program provides recreational options for all dependents of active duty, retired military, DoD employees, and contractors living on base under a Tierra Vista lease contract. Youth must have current membership and be between 9-18 years of age. Community service programs, clubs, and classes are offered with focus on recreational activities, cognitive challenges, and team building. $30.00 PER MEMBERSHIP YEAR- All memberships expire in September, regardless of when the membership was purchased.

Transportation Program (Ages 9-18)

The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all 14 to 23-year-olds. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, & Gold Congressional Award Certificates & Bronze, Silver, & Gold Congressional Award Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas: Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Youth Program members are eligible for transportation to and from select schools: Leland Elementary, Point Fermin Elementary, White Point Elementary, Dana Middle School and San Pedro HighSchool. This is a chance for parents to come ensure their child’s car seat is properly installed and if not learn how to do so. Requirements are to have the vehicle, car seat, and child present for a proper fit. More than 12 of all car seats are incorrectly installed.
