Weekly Report and Newsletter - 23rd July 2021 J36 Online July Machinery Sale This poplar sale once again saw a large entry of over 1400 lots offered for sale, with nationwide and international buyer interest This months sale boasted a line up of over 20 modern and vintage tractors which saw a top price of £15,800 achieved for a John Deere 6610 from a local estate. A Massey Ferguson 265 being part of a dispersal on behalf of C Carter, Pilling achieved £6300 followed by a Massey Ferguson 135 achieving £4800. Other tractors of interest included a John Deere 1140 4WD c/w loaded selling at £4900, Case 885XL £4500 and Massey Ferguson 590 £3700.
Other plant and vehicles saw a mini digger sell at £4250, Massey Ferguson Tractor £3100, Skid Steer £3100, International TD9 Crawler £1100 and Honda ATV £1050.
Seasonal machinery saw a 10 tone trailer achieved £5000, Lely 770 Tedder £4500, JF Tedder £2600, John Deere mower £2500, silage trailer £2500, flat topper £2400, Vicon fertiliser spreader £2000 and bale wrapper £2200.
Other notable items included a Ford Focus at £2500, post knocker £2300, livestock trailer £1800, log trailer £1500, John Deere conventional baler £1450, saw dust dispenser £1400 and two berth caravan £1050.
Over 500 inside items were offered for sale, with there certainly being something for everyone.
Please note the next sale drop off dates are Monday 2nd, Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th August. There will be no section for inside tools at this sale due to autumn sheep sales.
Lancaster Auction Mart: Sale of Spring Lambs and Cast Sheep - Monday 19th July SPRING LAMBS Spring lambs this week at Lancaster averaged 256p/kg for 836 forward. Light weight lambs sold to an overall market average of 260p/kg with handy weights averaging 259p/kg. Lancaster was just in time to catch the last bit of the Qurbani Festival trade, as many outlets are now full and unsure of how much demand there is for lambs for the rest of the week.
