The theme of this edition of our Flyer is “Eyes on the Horizon.” As the fall harvest draws near, this is the time when it all comes together and all the hard work and investment you have made pays off. Harvest is the time when you learn what has worked well and what has not worked so well. Harvest is the time of year when you hope the weather cooperates and you can make the most of every day in the field.

Quite likely your operation, like many others, has accumulated reams of agronomic data this past growing season – data that gives you the basis for making plans for next year’s agronomic decisions such as seed varieties, herbicide programs and tillage practices. Data is the key to making decisions about what to do differently next year, and harvest data is a key piece of information to help you make those decisions.

We at 21st Century Equipment are happy to help you review your options for acquiring, calibrating, storing and transmitting your yield data, depending on the age of your combine. We believe that the data you create has value, that it belongs to you, and helping you manage that data depends on our mutual relationship built on integrity and trust. It is YOUR data, but sharing that data with your trusted business advisors further increases the value of that data to you. Our role is to make sure your data is handled with strict adherence to our internal data security policy and only shared with people on your advisory team that you want it to be shared with.

The Operations Center within John Deere’s cloud-based web portal, www.MyJohnDeere.com, is a great tool to aid in the collaboration process with your trusted advisors. In the Operations Center, all your data is geo-referenced and easily accessible to anyone you give access to, because you control the access. Capabilities such as JD Link Connect™ and Wireless Data Transfer™ (WDT) allow you to easily move data, like yield maps and as-applied data between your John Deere equipment and the Operations Center, as it is collected – more quickly than ever before – without cumbersome USB sticks.

As fall harvest approaches, let’s hope the great wheat harvest yields that many of you experienced this summer translate to great corn harvest yields this fall. If we at 21st Century Equipment can do anything to assist you in your harvest needs, don’t hesitate to give us a call. Customer Technical Assistance Center What is CTAC?

CTAC stands for “Customer Technical Assistance Center.” We are a product support team dedicated to assisting both the customers and employees of 21st Century Equipment. We developed this team in 2013, and have been providing solutions ever since. Every year we take thousands of calls from customers looking for fast, effective solutions.

Our CTAC team is staffed with people that come from the AG equipment industry.

We collectively have over 100 years of experience in our support group. Our team can assist with late model technology, as well as earlier equipment.

What are some of the most common issues that CTAC helps provide solutions for?

Assisting in resolving guidance issues is one of our most common calls. We also take a lot of calls on machine codes. What is it, can I run or do I need to shut down, is it something that I can fix or something I need a technician to repair?

Is CTAC a remote call center, or is it staffed by local people?

All the members of our CTAC support group are full-time employees of 21st Century Equipment. Every member of the team supports our entire region. Not all of our team members are at the same location, but they all have an office at the location they live nearest to. Technology ties us all together and makes it simple and seamless for the customers to reach us.

Every member of the team has gone above and beyond to help resolve an issue on many different occasions. But, there is always a great sense of satisfaction when we are able to get a producer going when they are performing a critical operation and time or the weather is not on their side.

In addition to our knowledgeable local store personnel, 21st Century Equipment offers quick and convenient assistance through our Customer Technical Assistance Center. New Staff Employees John Bernt is our new product specialist at our Bridgeport, NE, location. John is originally from Spalding, NE, and graduated from UNL. His work experience includes working on the family farm, Cottonwood Greens golf course, crop scout intern with Country Partners Coop, and intern at Winfield United. In his free time, John likes to hunt, fish, golf and spend time outdoors.

Preston Jueneman has returned to us as an ISG consultant at our Imperial, NE, location. He is originally from Hanover, KS, and recently graduated from Kansas State University. In addition to interning with us last year, Preston has worked on his family farm for 10 years. In his free time, he likes to hunt, fish and work on projects.

Kody Lofstrom is a new

student tech at our Burlington, CO, location.

He is originally from Sharon Springs, KS, and recently graduated from Wallacy County High School. Kody plans to enter the John Deere program at SCC. In his free time, Kody likes to work on vehicles, hang out with friends and spend time with his family.

Trystan Croissant is a new student tech at our Fort Morgan, CO, location. He is originally from Galeton, CO, and is a recent graduate from Griggsdale High. He will be attending the diesel tech program at NJC, with previous work experience in both truck maintenance and as a farm hand. In his free time, Trystan enjoys fly fishing, hunting, camping, shooting and welding.

Brad Chapman is a new student tech at our Fort Morgan, CO, location. He is originally from Hillrose, CO, where he graduated from Brush High School.

Brad studied at MCC and is currently in his second year with the diesel tech program at NJC. He has spent his life working on his family farm and also helping area farmers with chores & irrigation. In his free time, Brad likes to work on antique John Deere tractors and spend time with his family.

Terri Thompson has joined

the Fort Morgan team as a new parts specialist. She is originally from Olympia, WA, and comes to us with a work background of parts and truck driving. In her free

time, Terri likes to travel, work in her yard, play with her dogs and spend time with her family.

Jan Musgrave has joined the Fort Morgan team as a new location clerk. She is a Colorado native and previous employee from our KayJan days. Most recently, Jan worked at the hazardous waste facility. In her free time, Jan enjoys various crafts, gardening, and spending time with her husband of 20 years, her three children, and five grandchildren.

Erik Soderquist has joined the team at our Bridgeport, NE, location as a new service technician. Erik is a recent graduate of the Diesel Tech program at NJC. His previous work experience includes his uncle’s ranch, a friend’s custom hay business, and three years with O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.

In his free time, Erik likes to work on his vehicles and hang out with friends.

Ryan Walson is a new student technician at our Torrington, WY, location.

Originally from the area, Ryan is a recent graduate from Torrington High School and will be entering the John Deere program at SCC. His previous work experience includes Dietzler Construction and working with multiple farmers. In his free time, Ryan enjoys riding dirt bikes and showing lambs and pigs.

Talor Devie is a new student

technician at our Sterling, CO, location. Talor is originally from Sedgewick, CO. He recently graduated

from Caliche High School and will be entering the John Deere program at SCC. In his free time, Talor likes to fish, hunt and work on tractors.

Bob Reeves has joined our

Ogallala, NE, team as a new service technician. He is originally from Billings, MT, and he comes to us with an associate degree.

He is an Air Force veteran of 24 years. Bob previously worked as a John Deere tech with 4 Rivers, and also has five years of diesel tech experience with Union Pacific. In his free time, he likes to build models, work in the yard, do woodworking and spend time with his numerous kids and six grandkids.

Erick Enriquez has been hired as a new service tech at our Yuma, CO, location. His is originally from Idalia, CO, and attended Northwest Tech for college. Erick’s previous work experience includes Western Ag Solutions, Mesberger Family Farms, Litchy Farms, Square Up Hay Company, and Outsource fuel and feed.

In his free time, Erick likes to work out or hang out with friends.
