One Community Event Set-Up Volunteers The One Community gazebo goes to a number of weekend community events during the year and help is needed to set up the stand in the morning – put up the gazebo and set out chairs, tables, display equipment, books for sale, tombola items etc – and take them down again in the a!ernoon. The volunteers would need to be reasonably physically fit as the items are quite bulky and heavy. The •me commitment would be 3 - 4 •mes a year on a weekend. It takes about an hour to set up and less to take down. Travel expenses paid.
Admin Support for Eastleigh Friends of People with a Learning Disability A local charity organising social events for people with a learning disability, Eastleigh Friends, are looking for more volunteers and especially someone to take notes and create minutes of their bi-monthly mee•ngs. The mee•ngs take place on either a
Wednesday or Thursday morning ing every other month. They are a friendly group of Trustees and nd volunteers and would warmly mly welcome someone interested ed in joining them. More informa•on available on request.
Treasurer and Board Member for Velmore Community Associa!on Velmore Community Associa•on is looking for a treasurer. The treasurer’s role will be to maintain an overview of the organisa•on’s financial affairs, ensuring its viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained, and to oversee financial procedures, end of year accounts and management accounts. The treasurer will also be an ac•ve member of the Board of Trustees and contribute to the smooth running of the Community Associa•on. The volunteer will need to have: • Experience of financial control and budge•ng. • Experience of fundraising. • Good communica•on and interpersonal skill • Willingness to be contacted on an ad hoc basis. • Ability to ensure decisions are taken and followed-up. • Good •me-keeping.
Conserva!on Volunteering in Fair Oak The Conserva•on Volunteers need your help to help manage woodlands and create a new ne sec•on of footpath. Thursday 4th February in Fair Oak, 10am3pm. No experience needed, tools, gloves and hot drinks provided. Please book your place in advance.
