Greetings to the Missionaries of the 15th
Episcopal District of the AME Church.
To: Bishop Silvester S. Beaman, Presiding Prelate,President Crystal Jantjies, WMS District President YPD Director, Beverley Jacobs, YPD President, Keobaka Mpame,WMS Life Members Conference WMS Presidents, All District, Area and Local WMS/YPD Officers Host Presiding Elder, Pastor, and WMS President , Guests We have successfully completed all seven (7) Annual Conferences, in which new leadership was elected and we honoured those who were dedicated and committed over the last several years, especially through the COVID pandemic era. We now must pause and thank God for His blessings towards us as we have moved through such a dark and fearful time, and now must shoulder up to for the work before us. We are here to praise today to celebrate the unwavering merit of love He continues to show to us, His children. We are here to say, “Here am I, Lord, send me!” We are here to fuel up spiritually as we share the love of Christ throughout the 15th Episcopal District. This is a special Planning Meeting an opportunity for us to evaluate, pivot and gear up for the work of missions. How we do this is only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and our dedication to our WMS mission and our calling. Let us end this year of 2023 with a grateful heart and prepare for 2024 with humbleness and fortitude. Galatians 6:9: says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Be encouraged my sisters as we press toward the mark of the high calling through our dedication as missionaries and commitment to share the gospel of Christ.Let our WMS mission work today inspire us, motivate us , encourage us for the journey ahead.
In Jesus Name,Mother Renée Palmore Beaman Episcopal District
Supervisor of the 15th
Greetings from the President’s desk! To the established protocol; Allow me to greet you from Acts 21: 9-11. “When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught. So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish,153, but even with so many the net was not torn” (an inspiration from a facebook post from Sis Libertha Mutambo which resonated with me) There had been fish on the coals, still Jesus instructed them to bring the fish they had just caught. He already prepared fish and bread ( servant hood ) so as much as He supplies our needs he still wants us to follow and work with Him and His instructions. In Luke 5 the fishing net breaks. But when we react on Gods instructions “ our net shall not break”. Let’s trust and obey him, so that our nets doesn’t break! We may become tired, discouraged and our nets looks as if it is hanging by a thread. Sometimes our nets our broken by our own dear sisters, family and friends, those closest to us, you trust people and then they rip your nets, but when we listen and follow the instructions of the Lord our nets shall not break ( He who is greater within us, we will not fail). We are witnesses of the Lord and of His amazing Grace! This year has been full of trials and tribulations, but yet our nets did not break! For me personally, it has been a year of great achievements! Having the 1st ever YAM summit, to leading the Fabulous, Future Focussed Fifteen Team 15 of 59 WMS and YPD delegates to Orlando, Florida-this was beyond my greatest expectations! Team 15 has been absolutely fantastic! Attending Angola conference simply blew our minds! It truly is pure, amazing Grace! Language is not a barrier anymore! We need to take hands of our sisters and continue to walk the talk in His vineyard. The annual WMS conventions have proven to be outstanding and of a high calibre! The WMS is a reckoning force in the AME church! As we complete and give account of the past quadrennial work, let us stand firm and be bold for God! To the outgoing team- I salute you for your mission accomplished! Servants of God, well done! To the incoming team that we will elect today, may you follow the instructions of God, so that your nets will not break! Be ready to tackle the new church year, to hold on to your blessings in the net! Declare that your net shall not break! Be blessed and highly favoured so that your nets shall not break! President Crystal Jantjies 15th Episcopal District WMS President
GREETINGS FROM THE EPISCOPAL DIRECTOR To the observed protocol I GREET YOU ALL WITH THE LOVE OF THE LORD. This was a year full of blessings in guises. The greatest blessing is you and I, right here, right now in this place. The Lord has through it all, proven to be true to His promises as His love has taken us where His grace has kept us. His name is worthy to be praised! Life is not fair but God is good! I don’t know whether you know just how strong you are woman! Living today under paralysed circumstances wants to be lived! And you know why, it’s because you were forced to be strong. But in actual fact, it is what God declares that His strength is made perfect in our weakness! Remember that circumstances come and go, but God remains forever for who he is! Hang in there for a little while longer. Don’t opt for the easy way out! Remember to study God’s Word as it is important for spiritual growth. When you spend time reading His Word, He will begin to help you understand the depths of its meaning. It will empower you to face the impossible! It will bring about radical changes in your behaviour and attitudes. The goal of the spiritual walk is to become more like Christ. If you don’t see that happening in your life-and if others don’t see you changing-then you may be deceiving yourself in some ways. Be honest with yourself regarding how serious you are about your spiritual walk and whether you are allowing God to change and grow your heart, no matter the chaotic circumstances. Today more than ever before otherwise you are not going to make it! But my dear Sisters, do not merely listen to the Word and so deceive you. DO WHAT IT SAYS! It is so important to have a philosophical scripture to help guide you to stay focussed on this road. I can attest to it! John 15:16”You did not choose me, but I chose you..” did it for me over the past 8yrs and will for the rest of my life! God never send you on a mission without provision. You came my way intentionally to help me fulfil my purpose according to Gods will as the Episcopal YPD Director. You are my witnesses and testimonies! What beautiful memories! I am because you are and I THANK YOU! I pray God’s blessings on this Convention and all of your lives. LOVE Sister Beverley Jacobs- Episcopal YPD Director

CONFERENCE Episcopal
ACTIVITIES During the 2020/2022 period, when the country was engulfed by the “Smoke of the pandemic”, I am happy to report that by God’s Grace, we held our Virtual Sessions as we did not want to give the devil some space to take over. We had a full program, though this was done virtually, which showed determination and zeal on the part of the Women’s Missionary Society.
We also managed to hold our physical Leadership & Training workshop, hosted by the Queenstown Conference from the 18-20 March 2022. Though the pandemic was still a threat, we courageously held our fruitful and spirit-filled Leadership Training. We give honour to God for making this possible.
During this LTI, this Commission was able to teach on TWO of the SDGs, namely:
Good Health and Well-Being The Rise & Shine morning program has been a norm whenever we have Leadership & Training. This LTI was no different from others, as mothers know
that they must wake up and shake their bodies through “Rise & Shine” exercises, conducted on Saturday the 19th March 2022. This should not be a once-off incident. It should be practiced at local, area and conference level – even as individuals at home.
The Workshop on Mental Health, led by Sr Siyabulela Loyilane, through panel discussion, was an eye-opener, targeting
One of the Highlights was when our own Supervisor, Mother Renee Beaman, made a presentation on: “I Rise….”, which was also the theme of our LTI. What a presentation! I hope we shared these teachings back home to all the mothers who were not in attendance. This was also targeting.
The workshop on “When women pray…” based on women in the Bible, conducted by Sr Nontsasa Mgabadeli targeted SDG 5. This was a spirit-filled workshop, where, towards the end of the workshop there were women identified to pray in Nama, Sesotho, English, Afrikaans and IsiXhosa. This was a touching session. I thank God who used all the presenters, filled them with wisdom and spirit. DG: 3 & 16 Through spirituality:
This Commission, under the Leadership of the capable Second Vice President, was also able to prepare a banner that was carried by our young mothers,
PPromote well-being and Promote peace
Mother Phakama Bisiwe and Sr Thozina Kota during the WMS Quadrennial Convention in 2023 during banner parade.
Hoping that the in-coming PME Director will run with the activities of this potfolio and take it to a higher level, working with the Connectional PME Director. 1. PAPERS PREPARED BY THE PME I felt there is a need for me to prepare 2 papers that WMS members can go home with, and prepare this journey for this quadrennium. The topics are as follows: 1.1. “Your Battles are not yours, But God’s Battles” As you are going to journey after the elections, know that the devil does not like what you are doing. Therefore, arm yourself with the correct and appropriate attire.
1.2. “Right people, Right place, Right plan.”
Boland
Know that you are the right people who will be elected, and you are at the right place, and you will come with right plans.

Leadership Training Institute (LTI) The LTI was held on Saturday 1st of April at Metropolitan, Mitchells Plain, with 104 WMS sisters and ten (10),1st timer’s attendees. Noting that a number of new
people in leadership positions joined WMS on local level, a much-needed training session took place. The LTI theme was, ‘A Privileged To Serve’, and PME, Sister Lucille Keith was the programme director. The 1st session, was led by Sis Sandra Gordon, our Scripture Lesson was Matthew 20v28. The message…We must have a willingness to serve God, and in doing so, it must be done in humility, with love, joy, peace and hope. It must always be seen as a privilege to serve God as He was the greatest example of all, He came not to be served, but to serve. Retired minister, Rev. Vernard Bailie was the speaker on the following 2 topics…. 1. The Importance of Personal Bible Study Bible Study scripture was Matthew 6v6, ‘When you pray go into your room, and when you shut your door, pray to your father who is in the secret place and your father you sees in secret will reward you openly’ meditate on the Word of God and this will lead you into prayer. 2. A WMS Member,… how to encourage at a sickbed or during bereavement? Sick bed: Rev. Bailie gave us the tools as to how to encourage at a sickbed. The following points were raised and discussed by the presenter. • Do not ask, ‘How do you feel OR how are you doing? Rather focus on the person instead of the illness. Offer a Word of Encouragement & prayer. • Do not overstay your welcome, remember you are still dealing with a sick/ill person.
Bereavement was also presented to empower women on how to support during this sad period focusing on the following points: • Don’t say, ‘I know how you feel’,…but rather put yourself in the experiential of the person going through bereavement. Understand death of a loved one hurts. • Choose your words carefully, rather opt for words of encouragement, such as “I cannot imagine what you must be going through, I would like to offer my sincere condolences during your time of mourning, and I can only offer you the WORD of God as encouragement. • Sit down with the person or family where there is mourning and ask if there anything the church or the WMS can assist them with. The 2nd session started with an Ice breaker was done by Mrs. Deidre Gordon, which was fun filled, yet spiritually enriching, under the topic “Protect your balloon” with the balloon carrying a scriptural verse inside of it, should it burst. WMS 101 was led by the 2nd Vice President, Mrs. Salome Didloff in the form of an interactive session focusing on various scenarios within the WMS based on what should happen from the election of WMS officers & the 1st WMS meeting held at local church levels. Training on Commission and Officers on their duties was conducted by Sr. Nontsasa Mgabadeli (Episcopal PME Director) working together with our EC PME Director Sr. Beaulah Lumkwana. This was done to bridge the gap of members not knowing what is expected of them in their offices and also the commission duties.

CONCLUSION The Missionaries managed to do the work of the Commission on Education and Interpretation. To God be the Glory.

We encourage WMS Leadership at all levels, to ensure that during their planning, they make sure that their teachings also target the SDGs, so that we action them. We also need to evaluate progress and impact. It is still a sad thing to witness that though we have such teachings, the world is still engulfed with incidents of Gender Based Violence, Mental Health related incidents, women and children still suffer from hunger – the list is long. Having said that, we must however not get weary. We must soldier on doing our work as Missionaries. We must continue to teach, to help communities and make a dent. The world needs prayerful women. Statistician to keep accurate roll. Request that stats be send to Conference Statistician at the 2nd and 4th Open Board meeting. Conference can then have an accurate view on growth and declines. All Conferences to focus on YAM numbers if this number don’t increase rapidly our future does not look bright. Historiographer and Statisticians to make sure they record all events. We thank the support of each member of the commission as well as our spiritual parents Bishop and Mother Beaman. We also thank God for our President Sis Crystal Jantjies. A big thank you the Commission on Education and Interpretation, the team players and great supporters of the church. I thank all the Missionaries for their support and confidence in me. AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 15TH EPISCOPAL DISTRICT WMS WOMEN’S MISSIONARY SOCIETY PME DIRECTOR TOPIC: YOUR BATTLES ARE NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’s BATTLES
1.
INTRODUCTION
What comes to your mind when you are faced with challenges, left, right & centre? The first thing that comes to our minds is to fight the enemy on our own. We may have to walk through some difficulties and try to stand strong in faith, but if we let the devil take advantage of us, and intimidate us, we might be fighting a losing battle. Many a times we fall in the devil’s trap: God’s instructions were for Adam & Eve’s good, but the devil made them sound as though God was depriving them something they should have & enjoy. Always remember – the devil is a liar, he is the father of lies.Stop now and ask yourself what lies you might be believing right now, that are preventing you from entering into the fullness of the life of Jesus wants you to have. Always remember that the first step on the way to victory is to recognize the enemy. The devil is the real enemy and God is there to protect us from him – only IF we believe in Him (that is GOD). In this presentation, I would like to share a few points that we need to look at, as we are unpacking this topic, at the time where, as Christians, we are faced with too many challenges, to the extent that, at times we might ask: “God, where are You?!
2.
HOW DOES THE DEVIL DECEIVE PEOPLE The devil has his way of deceiving people, hence you must make sure that you put your trust in the Lord, to fight your battles:
• • •
The devil makes you believe that you are incapable of doing something that God has actually enabled you to do. The devil makes you to believe that you can never completely get over a painful past. The devil makes you believe you have no value, or that God doesn’t love you because no matter how hard you try, you always seem to mess up & make mistakes.
Is there any of the above statements that you can relate to? If YES, for sure, satan has deceived you, & his lies have become your reality. What must you do? PRAY, PRAY, & PRAY! Pray that you won’t be deceived. Pray that God protects you from deception. The world is filled with deception nowadays.
3.
GET DRESSED FOR THE BATTLE
It is a fact that we are in a spiritual war. Let us not forget that we have effective weapons with which to fight. In addition to our weapons, we also have armor. God gives us this armor to protect ourselves in the battle – but simply having it is not enough – we are INTSTRUCTED to put it on. The phrase “PUT ON” is an action phrase. It requires us to do something.
Too often Christians are not wearing their armor. They sometimes “wear” behaviour and attitudes that don’t look good on someone who is a representative of Christ – yet we as Christians, often complain. A bitter, resentful and unforgiving attitude is not good for Christians. These kinds of attitude open a door for the devil. When we let God fight our battles we must put on our armor as reflected in Ephesians 6:14-18, where the following 7 things are considered by God as our armor:
3.1 THE BELT OF TRUTH God’s Word is truth and we are instructed when in battle, to tighten the belt of truth around our waist. Hang on to your faith in God’s Word firmly when the devil is attacking you with his lies and deceits. The Word of God tells us that some people have no roots, and when trouble comes, they fall away from their faith in God (Read Mark 4:16-17).
3.1THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS We have been given right standing with God through our faith in Jesus (see Romans 5:17. Jesus took our sins and gave us righteousness (see Cor. 5:21). We need to believe this truth and refuse to live under the guilt and condemnation of sins for which we have repented and received forgiveness. Knowing who we are in Christ is imperative if we are to defeat the devil. If he can keep us feeling guilty and condemned, he rules over us, but knowing who we are in Christ, makes us strong and gives us an advantage over the enemy. To know that we are the righteousness of God in Christ means that even though we don’t do everything right, we are still viewed as being right with God through faith.
3.3 THE SHOES OF PEACE There is a belief that if we stay in peace, no matter what our circumstances, the devil has no power over us. God does not want us to become upset when trouble comes, be emotional, and behave according to how we feel. He encourages us to become peaceful. We must always be ready to stand against the devil. Remember Peter’s word: “The devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).
3.4.THE SHIELD OF FAITH We are instructed to lift up the shield of faith. Simply having faith is not enough. We also need to release our faith in God in order to see it work on our behalf. We can release our faith through praying, saying and doing. Prayer offered in true faith is a covering over our lives, and it is one of our best defenses against the plots and strategies of the devil. When we are hurting, we are tempted to say many negative things and vent our feelings through words, but these are times when we need to be most careful. Jesus was careful with His words, and even in His time of great agony He did not speak negatively. This may be one of our biggest challenges in life, but we should work toward it regularly see improvement in this area. It requires discipline, selfcontrol, and lots of help from the Holy Spirit.
Our actions also release our faith. Genuine faith always obeys God. Listen to what apostle James said: “Faith without works is dead…..” 3.5 THE HELMET OF SALVATION We are told to put on the helmet of salvation. This means to think like people who know in Christ. When we are going through trials and tribulations, our temptation is to dwell in negative thoughts. The devil uses these times to fill our minds with thoughts that make the situation worse instead of better if we take them as our own and mediate on them. Be watchful about your thoughts at all times, but especially in hard times. 3.6 THE WORD OF GOD Paul’s instruction is to take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We are to remind the devil of what God says about our situation. When the devil tempted Jesus for forty days and nights in the wilderness, each time the devil told Him a lie, Jesus responded, “It’s written…..”, and He quoted a Scripture that refuted the lie (See Matt. 4: 1-11). We should do likewise. God said, “Let him who has my word speak my word faithfully (Jer. 23: 28). God’s Word is referred to as the sword of the Spirit. As we speak the Word, it is like we are wielding a sword, using it to protect ourselves and attack our enemy, the devil. Satan hates to be reminded of God’s promises. 3.7 PRAYER Paul’s last instruction regarding the armor of God is to cover everything with prayer. He says we are to pray “at all times [on every occasion and in every season], and to that end we are to be watchful and keep alert. Prayer is one of the most powerful privileges we have been given. At any moment we can call for God’s help and be assured that He will answer. We should pray for other people who are in need or fighting battles. They need the strength our prayers give them, just as we also need the strength of the prayers of our friends and family. Intersession, or standing in the gap for someone, is one of the greatest ministries God gives all of us. We are all called to intercede on behalf of those in need. Paul understood this and regularly asked the churches to pray for him. Start your day with prayer and continue throughout the day. Talk to God all the time about everything. The armor of God is spiritual, yet it is very practical. Each morning we can remind ourselves of these seven pieces of armor and make sure we have each of them in place.
3.1. THE LION Listen to this story about a lion: Two explorers were on a jungle safari when suddenly a ferocious lion jumped in front of them. “Keep calm”, the first explorer whispered. “Remember what we read in that book on wild animals? If you stand perfectly still and look the lion in the eye, he will turn and run.” “Sure”, replied his companion. “You’ve read the book and I’ve read the book. But has the lion read the book”? Yes, the devil who comes as a lion roaring in fierce hunger seeking someone to seize and devour, has read the book. He knows the Word of God well, but if we don’t know it, his schemes and deceits will defeat us. Reading and studying the Book THE BIBLE), is one of the BEST investments of time we can ever make. Read 2 Chronicles 20: 17: “You shall not need to fight in this battle, take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord, Who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not, nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” joyce Meyer in her book: “Let God fight your battles – Being Peaceful in the Storm,” maintains that we don’t use natural, earthly weapons. The tools we must use are not tools the natural mind would understand. When you are facing an enemy, calm down. Stop trying to figure out the answers and turn your focus to God. 4. GOD ALWAYS GIVES US THE VICTORY Although at times we go through many difficulties in life, we can take comfort in God’s life, we can take comfort in God’s promise to give us victory. God is not the author of suffering. He delivers us from it when we trust and obey Him. Satan provokes times of pain and misery in our lives and wants to use them to discourage us and draw us away from God. He will attempt to make us think God doesn’t love us, especially if the suffering lasts a long time. The devil may whisper to you or he may shout at you; he may whisper to you or he may shout at you; he may work through people who happily point out everything that is wrong with you, but God has already accepted you in the Beloved and promised never to reject those who believe.
5.
CONCLUSION Let me conclude by taking an extract from a book written by Joyce Meyer, entitled: “Your Battles belong to the Lord”’ where she shows that God still loves us though we are not perfect. God wants us. Joyce Meyer asks this question: “Why would God want me?” I’m not perfect, I have no ability, I have no gifts, I’m not worthy. Joyce Meyer reminds us of the love of God to some of the people from the Bible, though they had some weaknesses. God loves you, and He will fight your battles and support you because He knows your weaknesses. Joyce Meyer quotes the following examples that we can learn from:
Moses stuttered,David’s armor didn’t fit,John Mark deserted Pau .,Timothy had ulcers,Hosea’s wife was a prostitute.,Amos’ only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning,Jacob was a liar,David had an affair,Abraham was too old,David was too young,Peter was afraid of death,Lazarus was dead,John was self-righteous,Naomi was a widow,Paul was a persecutor of the church,Moses was a murderer,Jonah ran from God’s will,Miriam was a gossiper,Gideon & Thomas both doubted,Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal,Elijah was burned out,John the Baptist was a loudmouth,Martha was a worry-wart.,Noah got drunk. Select a few of these cases and see how did God fight the battle of each of the above characters in the Bible, despite their weaknesses. We also have our own faults and weaknesses that could make God not to choose us. Satan says: “You’re not worthy.” Jesus says: “So what? I am.” Satan looks back and sees our mistakes. God looks back and sees the Cross. God wants you, and sees the Cross. Don’t fight your battles on your own. Let God fight the battles for you. The battle is not yours. Trust in the Lord, have faith in the Lord. PRAY, PRAY and PRAY in season and out of season. REFERENCES 1. Joyce Meyer: “Your Battles belong to the Lord; published by Hachette Book Group Inc; 2019. 2. AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH – 15th EPISCOPAL WMS PME Director TOPIC: RIGHT PEOPLE, RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT PLAN 1.
INTRODUCTION.
Whenever we are going to do God’s business, we MUST take this seriously. We must pause and ask ourselves the following questions: Am I the right person, am I with right people and do I have a right plan that is going to take the Episcopal WMS to higher levels? 2.
RIGHT PEOPLE There are two kinds of people I would like us to talk about, viz: “flesh people” and “faith people”. FLESH PEOPLE: Tear you down and feed your fears. They waste your time and drain your energy. Christians at times find themselves in confusing relationships that drain them of their emotional energy and greatly reduce their effectiveness. This does not mean that you must shun such people, but it means be aware. Remember God wants us to love all those we come into contact with. Surround yourself with more people who fill ourselves with more people who fill our lives than drain our lives. FAITH PEOPLE: These are the kind who fill your life. They draw you closer to being the person God created you to be. They are the ones who will be lovingly honest with you. They are strong when you are weak. When God wants to bless you, He sends a person; and when satan wants to curse you, he will send a person. That is why everyday we need to pray for 20/20 discernment in the world of the spirit to know the right people from the wrong people. EXAMPLES 2.1. PAUL: THE PEOPLE WHO LIFT US UP When Paul needed to be saved, whom did God send? Ananias was the right man in the right place at the right time. (Acts 9:10-18).
The early church rejected Paul because he had persecuted Christians before his conversion. The disciples were afraid of him. God once again sent a person: Barnabas, who used his influence with the disciples to get Paul’s foot in the door of the church. There are days when we are discouraged. It is when you need a person who will share some kind words to you at that point in time and change your mood. See 2 Corinthians 7:6. 2.2. JONAH: THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE US DOWN God sent Jonah on a mission to Nineveh but he disobeyed God’s will and headed in the opposite direction to Joppa, where he boarded a ship for Tarshish. Jonah was not alone in the boat. All of them were about to lose their lives. One rebellious, disobedient man could have taken the whole shipload of people down with him. There are times when you might not be the problem, but the problem might be the people you are associating yourself with. Those people in the boat might have been in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong person – Jonah. Have you ever thought why Jonah asked other people to pick him up and throw him into the sea instead of him throwing himself into the sea? Did he want these men to feel bad afterwards? As soon as you get the wrong people out of your boat, your storm will cease. You will experience a great calm WMS members. You might be worried as to what will happen if you throw your Jonah out of the boat, who will take care of him. Remember God is there, just as He was there for Jonah. God prepared a fish to swallow him and took him to Nineveh which, by the way, was his intended destination. Ask God to reveal the Jonahs in your life, who are rocking the boat. Pray for the wisdom and courage to ‘throw” them and all their baggage off your boat. Sometimes, you have to do what is best for you and trust God to take care of the other person. As soon as Jonah was off the boat, the mariners began to worship God. You cannot worship God as you ought to, as long as there are toxic relationships and turmoil all around. Whatever is stealing your peace and rocking your boat, whatever is taking your smile away, reach down, pick it up, and throw it overboard. Then do what mariners did – start worshiping God. 3.
RIGHT PLACE One of God’s primary purposes for your life is proper placement. Have you ever experienced the time when there is a new organogram at the Institution where you work? This is the time when workers are told that they will be interviewed afresh, and be placed at relevant positions. There is no guarantee that you will retain your previous post as you might be competing with others for the same post. Being in the right place at the right time is an important key to discovering God’s will for your life. In Genesis 1, God created Adam; in Genesis 2, God planted Adam into the proper place, a garden. What is the significance of this? • God doesn’t leave you where He finds you. • God has a proper placement for you. God gave Elijah clear instruction: “Go to Cherish. I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” God told Elijah that if he moved to the right place, supernatural provision will show up. Sometimes the place God sends you won’t appear to be a place of blessing. When Ruth found the right field in which to work, she labored in only a remote corner of it. Later she was promoted from working in that insignificant corner to owning the entire field. But, her promotion was contingent upon finding the right place of employment. Are you in the right place, or are you leaning on an old plow, afraid to let go? In Exodus 33:21, God says, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.” There is a place reserved for you by God. If you will move there, God will supernaturally provide all you need to do His will. Stay in the right place so that your Christian walk is not compromised. Protect your integrity. Any place that God will not go to, is the wrong environment. “If Christ wouldn’t, you shouldn’t!” Peter was strong in faith, so long he was near Jesus’ side. But when he left Jesus, and warmed his hands by the wrong fire, he was caught up at the wrong side. No wonder he denied Christ three times (John 18:17-18, 25-27). What about Adam? In the cool of the day, Adam and Eve would walk with God in the garden of Aeden. When they were together satan never showed up. Satan approached Eve when she was absent from God’s presence. There is protection in His presence. Don’t stray too far from the body of Christ, which is the Church, or you will become easy prey for the enemy. Also note that proper placement is preceded by a season of discomfort. Take an example of mother eagle, when she wants the eaglets to fly. She begins by tearing up the nest. She the removes the animal fur to expose the briars and thorns. Suddenly, the nest isn’t such a comfortable place anymore, so eaglets swiftly desire to stretch their wings and learn to soar. You will never fly if you are comfortable. You will never change that which you are willing to tolerate. God has a way of
making us move out. it’s called discomfort. You will never work and succeed if the position you are about to take today – you think it is a bed of roses. Move out and work hard for this Church, for you have been called at such a time as this!
4.
RIGHT PLAN Whenever we pray for a miracle, God give us a plan. God rarely give you a miracle without a plan. Joshua once needed a miracle of conquest, but God gave him a plan. (Read Joshua 6:3-5). God said, “Here is a plan: march seven times and on the seventh day, march seven times. Then blow the horns and shout – and the walls will fall.” Joshua obeyed, and God’s plan brought the walls of Jericho down. Naaman sought a miracle of healing for his leprosy, God provided a plan through Elisha. (2 Kings 5:10). The simple set of instructions from God brought a miraculous healing to Naaman’s body. Even with the story of Samson, God had already had a detailed plan for his life before he was born. I want to believe that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this. It is time for you to make your move. You have been watching, whilst God has given talent to serve His people. Move out and do something. You might be afraid of your future, but check your past. God has been with you in your plans. He has never failed you. God’s timing is perfect. This is your time. Grab it but ask for God’s guidance in executing your plans. God does not push. He leads. God does not force. He leads.Wait for God’s guidance. Don’t do the same mistake that Saul did when he was caught off-guard by Goliath. God knew that Goliath was coming. Saul was not ready to fight Goliath. He was luckily that there was a boy named David who knew how to wait on the Lord, worship the Lord, and praise the Lord, so that when Goliath comes to destroy your plans, you are ready and not afraid. Goliath is coming. You can’t afford to just ignore the convictions of the Holy Spirit and not wait on the Lord. Be guided by God in your position, in your work and in your leadership.
5.
CONCUSION. In your journey in your position, when crisis comes, I know a fear will come in your heart. But if you are really in touch with God, something greater rises up inside of you and says: ‘I will not panic. I will not dread. I will not fear. God is with me. He is on the throne. It’s going to be alright.”

Recommendations: 1. Continuous Training. Our WMS is a dynamic organisation and members and positions are changing annually. In depth training for all commissions is a priority in the new church year . 2. Angola Conference- It is critical for a special delegation to visit this conference and to conduct at least a 2-3 day training or LTI. 3. A YAM year plan/schedule should be coordinated under the leadership of the 3rd Vice and members at large. 4. We need to advocate for SDG 5: Gender Equality “Achieve gender equality and Empower all Women and girls”, as the WMS we must encourage and ensure that our sisters are equipped and empowered to take up their rightful positions in Government , private sector and NGO’s. 5. God gave us the authority to look after His creation in Genesis. Our role as the church is to ensure that we take care of it! Our Environmental footprint is much to desire if we want to sustain and maintain mother earth for our future generations. Huge Environmental Awareness was raised during the YAM summit in March 2023 in Swakopmund with the emphasis on Reduce, Re-use, Recycle and Up- cycle efforts. It was recommended that future LTI’s must produce bags and articles made from recycled material in respective kits to advocate for SDG 13 Climate Action; SDG14 Life Below the water and SDG15 Life on Land 6. A dynamic and impactful project should be identified for the 15th District WMS on which we need to focus for the next 4 years.
