Using industrial leftovers and disposed materials such as wood and leather, the small team at Ye, handcrafts unique, beautiful accessories, mainly bags and purses. Mixing the tradition of hand craftsmanship together with new technologies. In stellar time, the team gained international recognition. I was lucky to be part of the integral process, from conceiving and planning the collections, crafting them, doing fashion photo shoots to social management and selling. This job gave me perspective on entrepreneurship and all the background details.

Adorning these women with art deco lines, on recycled wood & leather. Bringing sophistication for once, to one of the most marginalized groups of Latin America.

In Hawaian lands, Ulu means seed and the repetition of this syllable, translate to ‘develop’, ‘stand’ and ‘grow’. The uluulu is an inclusive station for playing thought -alongside with my collegue Hellen Moreira- for kids with cerebral palsy to join the party. Usually ignored by the main toy industry, children with physical disabilities, struggle to play alongside on more dynamic activities. Embracing an Open Source approach, the uluulu can be produced locally via C.N.C. cutting adaptin’ itself to the family they play. Praised by the medical community, the uluulu aids children develop their muscle mass and balance on the early stages of the childhood. Being available for free download, this project is an invitation to the parents and children into the creative process, crafting their only between the family but the uluulu itself, maybe this is going to be a good childhood memory for someone. And that’s good enough for any project.
