The pristine blue waters of the Pacific seemed to stretch on endlessly from the shores of The Strand in Dana Point as gussied-up guests made their way to the beach for Oceana’s 8th annual SeaChange Summer Party. Over 400 ocean enthusiasts attended the event, featuring a host of notables, including Jon Hamm, January Jones, Sam Waterston, Beth Behrs and Kiernan Shipka. Partygoers chatted while sipping signature Nolet cocktails before sitting down to an exquisite meal. Oceana executives and celebrity supporters alike all spoke to the importance of this
year’s theme, “Save the Oceans; Feed the World.” Also taking the stage was the evening’s guest of honor, marine ecologist and National Geographic Explorerin-Residence, Dr. Enric Sala, who was given Oceana’s Ocean Heroes award. As event presentations wound down, the party revved up with silent and live auctions that got guests bidding for covetable prizes, while Bethany Joy Lenz gave a musical performance. As guests danced the night away in the Post Party Lounge, wafts of cool sea breeze reminded all of the great wonder worth saving.
