FOUNTAIN Just last month Fountain had it’s grand opening party and since then more and more people have been coming to experience this quirky new bar. After passing the iron gates, climbing the steps, passing under arches and dangling branches, you find yourself entering what looks like the courtyard of a renaissance villa with vines and flowers creeping across the stone walls, complete with, you guessed it, a fountain trickling water. The main bar area, situated in the ‘courtyard’, sits in front of a giant stone facade, while upstairs looking down on it are two more bars. One adorned with a circus canopy and lights, serves mainly cocktails while on the far side is another situated amongst various games, such as darts, pool, basketball, air hockey, shuffleboard and an assortment of vintage arcade games, all of which are free-to-play. At the very top level is a special VIP area which is slightly quieter and offers a bird’s eye view of the party below. NIGHT OF KOREA JEONJU NIGHT WALK The city of Jeonju is holding a night event twice this year, August 12th to 13th and September 30th to October 1st. The Korean Cultural Heritage Administration is hosting this starry event to celebrate the tradition Jeonju upholds and the annual tourist count of more than 10 million. Jeonju is known most for its Hanok Village, an entire village with ancient dynasty architecture. It’s a city that is a literal living and breathing artifact of Korean history. There are three main types of events: touring old royal historical buildings from both the Hubaekje Kingdom and Joseon Dynasty, indoor and outdoor musical performances near historical architecture, and games and activities involving lit palaces and fish markets. And, it’s all free.

“Knowledge is power.” As a young lawyer, Lee has a more liberal mindset than his colleagues, and so does his firm.
