25 Years of IT SERVICES It is with great pleasure that we present “Zycron: 25 Years of IT Services.” As Zycron's executive team, we are humbled by the opportunity to lead a team of professionals who, every day, are dedicated to fulfilling a vision that began 25 years ago. We are indebted to our employees, customers and friends, who are the cornerstone of Zycron’s success and have helped position us as a sustainable leader in the information technology industry. In 2015, we welcomed a new member to the executive team, Vice President of Operations Rochelle Taylor. Rochelle joined Zycron in 2001, and in her new role she plans, directs and coordinates the overall operational decisions for the company. Prior to becoming VP of operations, she served as director of human resources. It is the experience, tenure and leadership of team members such as Rochelle that propelled Zycron to another profitable year in 2015. This brochure is a special publication celebrating our company’s many milestones as we navigated the rapidly changing IT landscape since 1991. 1991 - Darrell Freeman founds Advanced Computer Services (which is later renamed Zycron), a retailer of hardware and software. His best friend Vincent Windrow joins the firm as vice president and serves 13 years. With two employees, Zycron's first year of operation yields $10,000 in revenue.

1992 - Zycron moves into a 1,000-square-foot office at the Nashville Business Incubation Center.

2008 - Zycron expands its project management office and codifies an IT Governance Practice. The City of Memphis awards Zycron’s PMO a contract to manage more than $8 million of the City’s IT projects.

2004 - Our Memphis branch opens. Followed by Dallas in 2005 and Denver in 2012.

1998 - Zycron establishes an annual tradition to donate hundreds of turkeys to our neighbors at Thanksgiving. This would become our flagship charity event.

1998 - Zycron opens its first branch office in Chattanooga, Tenn., to support its first major customer, Tennessee Valley Authority.

2009 - Steven Howard Smith is named chief executive officer. Having joined Zycron in 2007, and in his first year as CEO, he leads the company to a 38 percent increase in revenue.

2007 - Zycron launches its first international operations in Bangalore, India, providing offshore outsourcing capabilities. One year later, Zycron Latin America would be formed in Medellín, Colombia. 2011 - Employee totals top 300 for the first time.

2012 - Revenues topped $40 million for the first time. Zycron celebrated a significant five-year growth spurt from $18 million in revenue and 182 employees in 2008, to $43 million in revenue and 362 employees in 2013. Zycron navigated the worst recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s with tremendous success.

Our team has contributed volunteer hours, monetary donations and sponsorship resources to countless organizations in the last 25 years. As an information technology services firm, we cherish collaboration with organizations that offer IT and education opportunities to those who previously had limited or no Zycron joined forces with one of our long-term clients to complete a Habitat for Humanity build in Nashville, Tenn., in November 2015.
