Research & Development
During her time studying in San Francisco, Lucille immersed herself in studying various design movements such as De Stijl, Bauhaus, Russian Constructivism, and Modernism. She found inspiration in these movements as she sought to refine her own design style. Drawing from elements she admired in each movement, Lucille merged them with her personal aesthetic to develop her distinctive design approach.

Distinctive
Tenazas’ style is characterized by her skillful creation of controlled chaos through abstract and layering techniques. Her layering methods consists of layering typography over rendered imgages and vice versa, creating dynamic visual compositions. Her abstract approach involves placing words off-center, overlapping them, and occasionally obscuring or cutting them off.
Additionally, Tenazas strategically utilizes typefaces with high contrast in weight, style, and size to enhance visual impact within her designs. Moreover, she integrates negative space to maintain balance and ensure her work remains uncluttered. This careful balance of elements contributes to the distinctiveness and effectiveness of her design aesthetic.

Tenazas is deeply committed to supporting and giving back to the design community in every way possible. As a an educator, she dedicates herself to design talks, seminars, and workshops worldwide.
