KEEPING UP WITH ZETA OMICRON Kappa Alpha Theta

First Day of Class

Our chapter was so excited for the return to in person classes and events this fall!! There's nothing quite like getting to hang out with all of our sisters together in the same place!

Decades Date Function

This was our first in person date function in over a year, and it was absolutely fabulous!

We had a decades theme where members and their dates dressed up like they were from different decades.

Football Games

As many of you probably know, the Deacs really outdid themselves this year and even made it to the ACC Championship!! Our chapter loved going to the games to cheer on our football team and spend time with our sisters!!

Family Weekend Reception This semester, our philanthropy event occured during Family Weekend, and the families of all of our members were invited! We had a reception with hors d'oeuvres, and at this reception, we also sold Theta merch to benefit Court Appointed Special Adovcates (CASA)!!

Family Weekend Reception This was an amazing opportunity to share our love of our philanthropy with our families and raise money for an organization we all care about. We raised over $3,500, and you can read more about the event here: https://theta.crowdchange.co/20812

Day of Service

This year for Day of Service, our chapter volunteered at Habitat for Humanity Restore and Campus Gardens. At our local Habitat for Humanity Restore, members built furniture to be resold at a discounted price and organized the store. At Campus Gardens, members helped harvest crops that are donated to our campus’s Campus Kitchen. We loved having the opportunity to honor Bettie Locke Hamilton and be present in our community!

My Tie Date Function

Our second date function of the semester was our formal, which was My Tie themed!! With this theme, many of our members wore a tie or stole their date's tie to wear themselves. We had a wonderful time dancing the night away!

Sisterhood Retreat

Our sisterhood retreat this semester took place at the Divine Llama Vineyards! Here, we walked around the vineyards and saw their many llamas.

This was an absolute blast, and our chapter really enjoyed having this time together to de-stress before finals!!

Next Semester...

We are so excited for our Founder's Day celebration at the end of January, and you should expect a virtual invitation for that to arrive in the coming weeks!!

We also can't wait to welcome PC '22 to our chapter in January and are so excited see what this next semester brings!!
