ULTIFUNCTIONAL RESIDENCES OF THE OFFICIALS OF THE PUBLIC BUILDINGS

These houses were attached to each of the public buildings with which they were linked. Their location, size, construction techniques and fine finishing, as well as the cultural material found here, lead to the interpretation that these residences belonged to a high-status social group, who were probably the officials in charge of the pyramid buildings. Although they vary in size, these houses mostly have larger dimensions than the residences in the other sectors. They have spacious rooms with platforms, benches, fireplaces, and finely-finished walls.
