PERMUTATIONS
plywood and oak furniture
‘Permutations’ is a unique furniture panel set made by layering hundreds of dyed wood veneers which are then grooved by surface milling. As a result, a mosaic-like op-art inspired pattern emerges from the plane into space, creating the illusion of vertical stripes turning into rhombuses and back to stripes, depending on the point of view.

ASUNDER
lounge chair concept
In this course we had to make simple paper sculptures as a basis for a functional object, which we had to present in small scale models. I picked a single motif in my paper sculptures and proceeded to fit the proportions for a lounge chair. I named the final version Asunder, to illustrate the feel of the motif: two forcefully separated pieces which represent the dynamic gesture of the original paper sculptures.

COLLIGO
street maintenance vehicle
Colligo is a vehicle designed for street maintenance workers on the streets of Budapest, Hungary for the year 2030. Waste will be the currency of the future, and we wanted to design a vehicle fit for the heroes that keep the ecosystem of waste sorting and distribution alive. High pressure washing, sweeping and waste collection functions are combined into this single vehicle.

MERCEDES MERIDIAN
astronomical observatory vehicle
Mercedes Meridian is an off-road vehicle for astro tourists in the year 2050. In the future automotive light pollution will reach net zero which will renew people’s interest in the night sky. People will spend holidays in so-called astro villages where the housing provides unobstructed view of the stars. In the Chilean Atacama Desert people can take these vehicles for their road trip along Route 23 for leisure star gazing or professional astronomical observations provided by the Dobsonian telescope integrated in the spherical portion.

Skydome opening makes space for 360 visibility. The Dobsonian telescope’s field of view is unobstructed.
Front lights are complemented with low interference lights for special use.
SUB-FREIGHT
package delivery concept
Sub-Freight is a network of underground mobile warehouses in extension to the already existing subway systems of large metropolitan areas. Each subway line has a dedicated carriage used by service providers. They are used as fulfilment centers to handle the volume of packages by easing on road traffic and exploiting the virtues of urban infrastructure. The concept has been submitted for the Toyota Logistics Design Competition in 2022.

SKETCHBOOK
I like to mix media in my design sketches: traditional, digital painting and 3d. The following is a compilation between course work and personal projects.

LIGHTING CONCEPTS
These images are the result of a one week course called Play with light! The task was to create lighting concepts by using a projector and models to create the illusion of space. Abstract guidewords have been chosen by each person to give a theme to their concepts.

CONCEPT ARTS
In a series of online tutorials I have learned how to create strong compositions using thumbnails, use 3D software as a sketching tool, and how to mix 2D and 3D techniques for generating quick cinematic concepts.
