Dazzle Story The razzle dazzle theme is at the centre of the Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The designs are inspired by the innovative dazzle paintings of the British artist Norman Wilkinson, which camouflaged the battle ships of World War I. Aiming to confuse rather than conceal, these complex geometric patterns and high-contrast colours made gauging direction, distance and speed virtually impossible – being so out of place in the water created a unique disguise.

Fringe & Monk Strap Story Taking an embellishment from traditional Scottish footwear, fringing runs throughout the collection. It is reworked in exaggerated lengths and layers. Left to fall naturally or fixed below straps, the detail adds movement and texture.

Also within this story is the addition of the Monk strap, this traditional British footwear detail adds a level of sartorial elegance and sophistication.

Hunter Tartan Story Drawing on our Scottish heritage, Hunter tartan is introduced for Spring/Summer 2015. The new design is inspired by the tartan of Prince George, Duke of Kent , who in 1932 visited Castle Mill, the rubber factory owned by Hunter’s pioneering founder, Henry Lee Norris.

Exclusive to Hunter, the tartan is a modern and graphic rework of the iconic Scottish design.

Ghillie Story A further look to Scotland, ghillie detailing is taken from traditional dancing shoes worn in the Highlands. The open front and distinctive straps are said to have been made to allow the shoes to dry quickly when faced with the inclement Scottish weather.

For Spring/Summer 2014, the design has been redefined with sportswear-inspired elastic cords, geometric block colour and modern, layered rubber.

Plimsoll Story The plimsoll draws inspiration from traditional British sportswear. The simple shape nods to shoes worn in traditional sports in British schools but with unexpected details such as an open back or a block heel.

Seasonal Colour Story For Spring/Summer, the palette features earthy Hunter tones of Olive and Sage with Deep Tourmaline Green and Dark Malachite. Pastel Bright Lavender and Sky Blue also feature alongside abstract shapes in Damson and Bright Watermelon which are set against Black and White stripes, creating the vivid contrast of the razzle dazzle.

Sandals & Slides Taking a design lead from the Original Boot this new category for Hunter Original bears all the brand characteristics of comfort and fit . These new styles deliver a high level of craftsmanship and engineering, demonstrated in the new Slide which is made of two separate materials, an EVA midsole with a rubber outsole which guarantees a high level of comfort and support .
