Tigers Lose on the Road in OVC Play Morehead, Ky. - The Tigers trailed the entire game and could not recover from a double-digit halftime deficit, losing to Morehead State (MOR) in conference play, 94-73, at the Johnson Arena Thursday night. Morehead shot 59 percent from the floor aith TSU connecting 38 percent from the field. Both teams combined for 83 free-throw attempts with TSU shooting 60 percent and Morehead State, 63. Jerrell Houston backs down an Eagle defender. Houston was held to two points in the loss.

Gerald Robinson, Jr. scored 23 points and Parker Smith chipped in 17 points to lead the Tigers. TSU went scoreless for over six minutes in the first half and trailed 28-17 with 4:32 left. The Eagles (12-10, 8-2 OVC) jumped on a 21-8 run and led at the break 39-23.

Leon Buchanan led the Eagles at the half with nine points before finishing with a game-high 24 (11-of-13). Robert Murray added 17 points and Kenneth Faried hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds. In the second, Morehead State led 65-37 with 10:32 for their largest lead of the game. TSU clawed with in 16 with less than six minutes remaining but the Eagles secured their lead. The Tigers will make a stop in Richmond, Ky. to face Eastern Kentucky, Saturday, January 31. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
