This year, the young german brand Zirkeltraining is nominated for the design prize of the Federal Republic of Germany, which is the highest possible prize for design in Germany. After the company, that produces bags out of recycled sport equipment leather and gym mats, has won the Coolmax Accessories Award at the ispo BrandNew Awards 2009, the success is steadily increasing. The design prize can only be awarded to businesses which were nominated by the Ministry of Economics and whose products have already won an international or national prize. It is known as the „prize of the prizes“. The distinction following the BrandNew Award was the decisive factor for this afreshed nomination. Therefore, the presence of Zirkeltraining in the BrandNew Village has not only caused quite a stir amongst retailers and the sports community, but has also impressed the highest German design panel. No surprise that the magazine MacLife awards the laptop bags of Zirkeltraining the rating „recommendation“.
