ABOUT ME

I have completed my studies at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where I’ve built a strong foundation in architectural design and theory. As a recent graduate, I’m eager to further develop my experience in the field and contribute to projects that reflect thoughtful, enduring design.

I’ve always been fascinated by how buildings express a society’s values. I feel that it is the duty of architects to create responsible designs that are practical and meet the demands of daily living. In my eyes, architecture is about more than just design; it’s about making spaces that are durable, timeless, and compliment the surrounding community. I’m drawn to this subject because of its special blend of innovation and order. The desire for perfection, structure, and clarity are values that are firmly ingrained in my architectural thought. Effective layouts, well-proportioned forms, and careful material selections are just a few examples of how I think good design is achieved by honoring traditional methods while incorporating them into modern challenges. By creating something not only for the present but also for future generations, I believe that architecture gives people the chance to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

A strong area of personal interest is how architecture can be used to reflect and uphold civic duty, cultural identity, and a feeling of community. I think it is extremely valuable to design structures that are morally, aesthetically, and functionally sound, especially in a time when durability and workmanship are all too frequently disregarded. I am eager to learn how to balance budget with design to reach my goal to contribute work that is purposeful, mindful, and carefully constructed with the client and community needs strongly considered.

I feel a career is a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. I am excited to work alongside other professionals to learn under their mentorship and guidance. I want to be challenged to think critically, problem solve, and develop into a professional who brings discipline and conviction to every task. I am confident that I will be an asset to your firm and bring a combination of hard work, integrity, and willingness to learn to create sustainable projects that will serve the community and stand the test of time.

TATTOO BY THE WIND

Facade Design

The façade aims to enhance the building’s presence, spark interaction, and bring energy to its surroundings by blending artistic expression with functional design.

Inspired by the artistry of traditional Japanese tattoos, this building façade mimics the organic flow and intricate detailing of ink on skin. Just as a tattoo is applied to the body, the façade features a dynamic, perforated surface that interacts with light and shadow, creating a sense of movement and depth.

Drawing from the natural wind patterns of the area, I translated these invisible forces into a visual imprint on the building. It is an abstract yet deeply rooted connection between architecture and environment. The result is a façade that seamlessly blends old and new, honoring traditional craftsmanship while embracing contemporary design. This fusion not only enhances the building’s aesthetic but also complements the natural rhythms of its surroundings, creating a structure that feels both timeless and alive.
