You have chosen well to be a new Eagle family. ZCS enjoys a great partnership with parents who are great first teachers and attentive, engaged advocates for school success. The power of this cannot be over-estimated.
I am a dad of three children, and my experiences as a 32nd year father, teacher, principal, and 17th year superintendent (15 in ZCS) inform my high expectations for our campus leaders’ implementation of the only reason ZCS exists—student growth! I look forward to meeting you and learning about your parenting journey thus far.
Your child must feel safe, secure, and loved when in our care in the Zionsville Community Schools. We will work to these aims because we know they frame the optimum atmosphere for every child’s maximum growth as academic people and as good people who will lead our nation and world just a couple of fast decades from today.

Zionsville Community Schools is a public school system serving kindergarten through 12th grade students in Eagle and Union townships in Boone County, Indiana. Our Strong in Every Way initiative is part of a culture built around helping our youth grow and develop. Learning takes on many forms in Zionsville Community Schools. Smiles and laugher fill our hallways, chatter and giggles echo through the lunchrooms, friendships are made on the playgrounds and academic learning happens in the classroom. WHEELS ON THE BUS.
Your seat on the big yellow bus is waiting.
Riding the school bus is always fun for new kindergarten students. We hear it over and over again that riding the school bus is the most eagerly anticipated event.
Our school bus drivers are especially attentive to our youngest riders and always make sure they understand what to do.
The same can be said about lunch. Lunch at school is exciting, but going through the lunch line the first few times can feel scary. Help is at the ready. The lunch sta , monitors and your teacher will be there to make sure you get your lunch and find a place to sit.
Recess is a favorite part of the day. It might take a little time to feel comfortable with new friends, but you will be playing together in no time.
