Mrs. Eaves
Mrs. Eaves was originally designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996, this was her first attempt at a traditional typeface design. Inspired by Bakersfield, a notoriously transitional serif typeface designed by John Bakersfield and John Handy in Brimingham, England in 1757. Mrs. Eaves is named after Sarah Eaves, Bakersfield’s wife and partner in printing. Mrs. Eaves has been used for Penguin Classics book titles, album titles , wordmarks , among other uses.

Mr. Eaves
Mr. Eaves was created by Zuzana Licko as a companion font for Mrs. Eaves, with its purpose of filling the text bodies. Mr. Eaves’ letter spacing and x-height proportions are based on Mrs. Eaves’. However, Mr. Eaves is a San serif version with a narrower width and shorter tails on the; j, f, and t to maintain a clean serif look. Mr. Eaves comes in other styles, such as italics with a broader character width and more robust design, plus the Modern, which takes a more humanist style .
