PORTFOLIO Zihan Zhang Sichuan Conservatory Of Music Landscape Architecture

The site is located in the city of Nizip, Turkey. The main issues with the site are: homelessness and unemployment due to earthquakes, overcrowded and deteriorating living conditions for refugees, unsustainable farming practices, and wastewater discharge from factories. To address these challenges, we propose the establishment of a resilient community on the outskirts of Nizip, Turkey.

This community is designed with a water cycle resilience framework created by purification, improvement, and wetland plants; a sustainable community framework made of modular architecture, community agriculture, and a recycling system; and an earthquakeresistant green space resilience framework incorporating the shortest paths, emergency facilities, and cultural exchanges. This vision aims for a harmonious coexistence of refugees, local residents, and the environment.

Revive bird paradise T h e p ro jec t is b a sed o n t h e i m p a c t of t h e Saemangeum Dam reclamation project in South Korea. The development of the Saemangeum Dam reclamation project in South Korea has eliminated 97% of the tidal beach in South Korea, resulting in a large number of migratory waterbirds without transit stations, as well as the disappearance of shellfish, the unemployment of fishermen, the lack of habitat and food for waterbirds will lead to the extinction of a large number of waterbirds, and improper irrigation in agriculture will lead to water pollution in the Saemangeum Dam In order to address these challenges, we propose to conduct soil restoration in the wasteland left by Shinwangin, reduce the soil height, build wooden piles to block the sediment and expand the tidal flat area, release shellfish and other organisms to restore biodiversity, create a variety of habitats to provide water for birds to rest, use plants to purify water pollution, and promote the cultivation of rice and oyster co-breeding. Through the restoration of tidal flats, the number of waterfowl rises, shellfish recovers, and fishermen get back to work.

A New Destination - The Transformation of Nanmen Square and the Labor Street Nanmen Tower is located in Yinchuan, Ningxia. The main problem in this area is that in the early days, many migrant workers gathered here to look for jobs because of the Nanmen bus station, which gradually made it a fixed gathering place for workers, affecting the Nanmen Tower scenic spot and the surrounding environment. In addition, the South Gate Tower itself does not play its role as a tourist attraction. In order to cope with these challenges, it is suggested to build private space for workers in the spare area of the street where workers gather the most. The entertainment area, recruitment area and rest area are planned. The central axis landscape is applied to the design of the South Gate Square by using the architectural characteristics of the South Gate Tower itself. 01 Fields, Paths, and Flowing Waters Signify a Prosperous Yea Ecological—— Restoration and Refugee Integration Community Creation from a Sustainable Development Perspective

"Eden"by the sea The project is inspired by the biblical doomsday scenario where entire cities and even mountains are flooded. In this regard, I choose Venice, a famous cultural city in Italy, as the starting point of the rising sea water flooding the city. Due to the average altitude of Venice is only 126 meters, a large number of tourists pour into Venice, resulting in that Venice cannot bear the corresponding tourist capacity. The rising sea and the special composition factors of Venice make experts predict that Venice will be swallowed by the sea water in the future. In order to cope with this situation, we propose to establish circulation systems such as floating city systems (agriculture, community, industry) at sea. Continue to develop Venice's fishery, rice, grapes and other agricultural cash crops, the use of seawater processing technology to meet the agricultural water of residents, the use of garbage filtration and cultivation of nutrient mud recycling to agriculture as fertilizer. The treatment stage is divided into three stages: upper, middle and lower reaches. The upper reaches first use

chemical methods to treat heavy metal pollution and use plants for comprehensive purification. In the middle reaches, there is a floating plant island that uses terrestrial plants and aquatic plants to filter river pollutants for the second time. In the middle reaches, the water supply and drainage of the community are connected, and the polluted water discharged from the community will also be filtered through the floating island. In the middle reaches, a water-friendly plank road, ecological science popularization area, and leisure lawn are also designed for the enjoyment and rest of the surrounding residents. Downstream design shore plants to plant trees and shrubs that can purify pollutants and finally filter river pollution.

The project is inspired by the biblical doomsday scenario where entire cities and even mountains are flooded. In this regard, I choose Venice, a famous cultural city in Italy, as the starting point of the rising sea water flooding the city.

Due to the average altitude of Venice is only 126 meters, a large number of tourists pour into Venice, resulting in that Venice cannot bear the corresponding tourist capacity. The rising sea and the special composition factors of Venice make experts predict that Venice will be swallowed by the sea water in the future. In order to cope with this situation, we propose to establish circulation systems such as floating city systems (agriculture, community, industry) at sea.

Continue to develop Venice's fishery, rice, grapes and other agricultural cash crops, the use of seawater processing technology to meet the agricultural water of residents, the use of garbage filtration and cultivation of nutrient mud recycling to agriculture as fertilizer. Meet people's basic needs. Realize floating urban circulation system at sea.
