in products, ZigZagZurich’s aim was to produce products for consumers who appreciate originality, quality and good design. We offer consumers a new way to enjoy art whilst supporting artists and discovering new talent, with a range of home textiles and accessories produced from the finest materials without the luxury price tag.

We work with artists from a broad spectrum covering fine art, digital, illustration, avant-garde and more. By adopting this approach, bringing lots of fresh ideas into the ready-made home fabric industry.

Our plain lines of bedding & draperies have been designed with a view to the A&D community and end consumers – color palettes that can be used in different ways with a rich array of colors.

ZigZagZurich is a vertically integrated producer of textiles and products. By controlling the chain of supply from raw materials to finished goods, we are able to offer locally manufactured products that use the finest materials and finishes, combining unique designs and collections, whilst offering our customers true value for money.

Caitlin Foster makes incredibly detailed drawings that reference objects found in her personal environment. This collection of patterns, all of them hand drawn, is inspired by forms found in the sea. The patterns made by waves (Okinawa Vibe) and what lives beneath them (Seaway) led to making this series of drawings. For her first collection for ZigZagZurich bedding, her drawings were transformed onto textiles, making the everyday into a psychedelic realm of her artwork.

A visit to the Fundacio Joan Miro in Barcelona with his abstract drawings and sculptures was the source of inspiration for Circus Life.

Like in a circus, fantasy blends with reality and gives children’s eyes a chance to discover every night a new character.

Today Elephant tomorrow a lion or maybe a creature created while dreaming.

Closet Queens for ZigZagZurich is a celebration of colour and vibrancy, at home in Summer but also Winters away. For the costume designer and artist Rebekka Stange observing the everyday around her is a big part of her work and the outline drawings capture a sensual mix of art, fashion and colour that resulted in a unique design for her first bedding collection.

Crisp air, flat sunlight, flattering color accents in white fog, the smell of fresh snow coming and the long lasting moisture that curls your hair. This is a November morning. Only when photography no longer reflects, it’s possible to capture those moments. Something between autumn and winter – something between painting and photography. In November Morning you manage to linger between the hours, wrapped in the magic of the seasons and listening to the bedlinen namesake “November Morning of Martin Stimming” in electronic or orchestral version.

Caitlin Foster artist, illustrator and freelance designer from Brooklyn, New York, makes incredible detailed drawings that reference objects found in her personal environment.

The circle drawings with miniature detailing are close up of examinations of tiny grains of sand. All of these patterns are hand drawn.

For her first collection for ZigZagZurich bedding, her drawings were transformed onto textiles, making the everyday into a psychedelic realm of her artwork.

The creative Studio Moonish from Brooklyn launched the “Tag” Collection in 2015.

Stemming from their studio experiments with spray paint and plant life, they created a wallpaper and textile concept drawing inspiration from street art. Paint particles drift across the surface, creating a layered ethereal botanical portrait. Graffiti for the modern dweller – and the modern bedroom.

In order to capture the experience of rainfall on textile, Dutch designer and artist Aliki van der Kruijs developed a technique named ‘pluviography’. Using filmed textiles sensitive to water she visually records all sorts of rainfall, from light drizzles to torrential showers. These bed sheets reflect the rain exactly as it fell from the sky in Amsterdam on Thursday April 5th 2012.

Frontiers in its blue and brown combinations is a sophisticated piece of design. Colors and patterns move combined with the unique graphical pixelisation ending up in an ever changing textile interpretation. We took the art and extended it into 6 meter panels meaning every single piece of Frontiers textile is unique to each bed linen created.

The combination of the strong colors and the way they melt and immerse into each other creating a stunning transition. Kinetic is a design full of energy and vibrancy yet is subtle enough to work in most environments.

It really is a stunning piece of textile design.

As big fans of the traditional stripe, Diffraction takes this and plays with this concept on a new level, mixing solid lines with diffused colors creating what we think is a masterpiece for any home, whether modern or old. The combination of the white canvas brings out the vibrancy of the colors.

A modern day computer, when it crashes, brings to life its screen in a flurry of colors and shapes, rendered useless by the need to reboot. Knoops took this reboot concept and transformed this into a visual concept that plays with colors over black - its not an error, its a Glitch!

The work of magnetic fields was an experiment

by Knoops taking images and distorting and mirroring them to create a piece of work as she describes with„ power“. The combination of black with the vivid colors is truly stunning.

Coastal was born from studies of color, physical space and the natural environment combined with the outcome of years of collecting color combinations along the coast of Northern California. The layout and distribution of colors came about organically, as they reflect how the original paint swatches randomly live on my studio walls.

Pol Kip’s inspiration for Chesa Flurina comes from the Swiss Alps and the wonderful children story “Der Schellen-Ursli” from the author Selina Chnz and artist Alois Carigiet in which Flurina plays the sister of SchellenUrsli. With “Chesa Flurina” Pol Kip captured the feeling of the story and being high up in the mountains in a simply superb poetic way.

An exquisite collection of hand drawn precious stones presented in a new concept. Karina‘s work is connected to the notions of nature, peace and love. Influenced by Earth and space, she delicately transforms surroundings into her own surreal, psychedelic scenes.

The hand drawn flower princesses from Karina combine exquisite detail with a beautiful story. When we saw this collection, we fell in love with the concept of creating something romantic with a twist, hence Made By Flowers is the end result of this.

Simply Blumen is a collection of hand painted water colour flora. The subtle colors and beauty of each painting was combined to create a stunning piece of textile art. We call this Simply Blumen.

Lauras Garden is a take on a classic fashion concept that we wanted to produce for the bedroom, mixing floral bouquets of pastel colors, in different dimensions. With his South American design influence and passion for floral work, Martin created this wonderful classic yet modern artwork for ZigZagZurich.

Alphabet City by Natalie Born

Robot Land by Class 1-3 Havelland School Berlin x Sophie Probst

Natalie Born is an illustrator and designer currently living in Switzerland. Her work is a playful exploration of humorous characters, whimsical animals and graphic botanicals that crosses over from fashion into art, influenced by her own unique humour and character. Her inspiration for the Alphabet City collections of drawings is her son, which she designed when he started to read and write. Each letter has its own unique identity, created at various times using materials to hand – train tickets, shopping receipts.

How do you create a childs world of robots and characters, capturing their imagination and humour – you let the children create it themself. Robot Land is a collaboration between Class 1-3 Havelland School Berlin and Sophie Probst – the children providing their own idea of what a robot could be ( which some decided a bear or butterfly was more interesting ). The end result is a wonderful creative bedding for ZigZagZurich kids that will keep a smile on your face.

Vintage Yarn Dyed Egyptian Cotton Collection Our Vintage Luxe bedding range is a special collection celebrating Italian E g y p tian cotton collection

weaving and traditional finishing. We weave the fabric in small quantities at our mill in Italy using the finest Egyptian Cotton yarns that are dyed with a special process to give the colors unique depth. When the fabric is woven, we then wash the fabric in old Italian hot baths and leave to dry. This softens the fabric and creates a beautiful finish that has a slight antique finish to the cloth. CoopDPS Bedding & Blankets Coop DPS is the idea of Nathalie Du Pasquier and George Sowden -two internationally recognized designers, who first came to the attention of the public as founding members of Memphis, the Italian group that changed the idea of design forever with the first C oo p D PS B E D D I N G & B L A N K E T S

Memphis exhibition in Milano, September 1981. The work of Du Pasquier and Sowden was fundamental to the renewal of interest in decoration and their work has become an iconic documentation from the early‘80’s until today.
