Our Design Philosophy Founded in 1977, Ziegler Cooper Architects designs buildings that are inspirational, highly functional and sustainable, resulting in extremely valuable assets for their owners. Our design solutions reflect a fresh approach that respects the context, reinterprets historical tradition and transcends immediate circumstances to connect with the client’s vision. The Commercial Architecture Studio at Ziegler Cooper has experience in corporate, commercial, redevelopment, mixed-use, and master planning, we approach each project as a whole. As architect of record for more than 80 office buildings with 38 million-square-feet of tenant space, we are experts in formulating performance-driven buildings that fulfill the needs of owners, occupants and investors. SUMMARY

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

A graduate of the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, Kurt serves as the Principal-in-Charge of the Commercial Office Studio, dedicated to commercial architecture, corporate facility design, mixed-use and commercial redevelopment projects. In this role, Kurt has directed over 10 million square feet of commercial, corporate and redevelopment architecture. Corporate clients and developers such as Warmack Interests, Hines, Trammell Crow, Transwestern, and M&M Properties seek out his leadership and knowledge on their projects to ensure high quality design, on time and within budget.

Kurt has served as the 2007 AIA Houston Chapter President, Past President of the University of Houston Alumni Association, 2003 Chair of the AIA Continuing Education Committee, Acting Secretary, Board Member and TSA Director for the Texas Society of Architects. He is also a member of the Downtown Houston Association. In addition to his contributions to industry associations, Kurt is an avid supporter of community associations and has served as a Board Member for the Boy Scouts of America, founding member of the Kirby Coalition, committee member for First Presbyterian Church, President and Board Member for the Boulevard Oaks Civic Association and as Team Captain for the “ZC Riders” BP MS 150 Charity Ride from Houston to Austin.

SUMMARY A graduate of the North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston, Leanna serves Ziegler Cooper in the role of Senior Project Manager for the Commercial Architecture studio. Leanna Gatlin joined Ziegler Cooper following successful tenures at firms including Perkins + Will and Kendall/Heaton Associates. Her role as Project Manager includes client relations and the coordination of teams made up of designers, architects, interior designers, programmers, engineers and consultants on large complex projects. Leanna is responsible for the implementation, presentation and management of the project through all phases from conceptual design through construction administration. She serves as the central point of contact for the client, consultant and project team. Leanna oversees the coordination and preparation of the project budget and schedule.

Bin’s distinctive designs rage from public assemble building type (include church, theater and convention center), complex corporate, mixed-use and education. She strives to push the envelope in design by creating unique spaces for each client.

SUMMARY Stephanie Lively joined Ziegler Cooper Architects in 2012. Prior to working with ZCA, Stephanie worked with Morris Architects in Houston, Texas. Stephanie has over 10 years of experience working in interior design. Stephanie is currently leading the ZCA project team with the utilization of BIM data, implementation of company standards and the creation of parametric families and schedules. As Designer, Stephanie is responsible to the Senior Project Designer and Senior Project Manager for preparation of design and technical documentation.
