These submerged sinkholes not onlyevoke a sense ofawewith theirmystique but also give rise to a distinctive ecosystem, a realm of unparalleled wonder amid the vast expanse of the surrounding sea. It is this essence of uniqueness, .the art of carving out an extraordinary space within the ordinary, that serves as the guiding ethos for our venture As the sun dips below the horizon, casting a serene glow upon the landscape, the exterior of our envisioned hotel mirrors the tranquil beauty that envelops the Blue Holes. The proposed solution for addressing the high humidity in the building, situated in Jeddah where humidity levels are typically elevated, involves a strategic design approach. The concept centers around rise the building, aiming to enhance air circulation. This vertical expansion not only contributes to the structural aspects but also facilitates improved airflow throughout the edifice.

Furthermore, an integral component of the solution involves incorporating more green areas within the project. The introduction of additional green spaces not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the surroundings but also serves practical purposes. The presence of vegetation aids in mitigating humidity by promoting natural ventilation and creating a more comfortable and breathable environment. Together, these architectural interventions aim to effectively address the challenges posed by high humidity in the Jeddah climate, fostering a more sustainable and conducive living or working space.

The NGO: Kurandza Kurandza means “to love” in Changana, the local language of the community they serve in Mozambique.

In the beginning, they started as a sewing cooperative with a group of 12 women that learned about financial literacy, health and entrepreneurship. They have run many programs, including a food aid campaign after the drought and hunger crisis in Mozambique in 2016. But over the years, they assessed the differences between short-term fixes and long-term impact, and they started recognizing that the earlier a girl receives support in her life, the more sustainable her growth, development, and community impact will likely be. And so, they shifted their focus to education. Since then, they have witnessed the transformative power of education and focused their efforts on providing scholarships, resources, and psychosocial support to the now 250 girls in their program. Coming from marginalized, vulnerable backgrounds, for the first time in their lives, they can dream of a future for themselves - a bright one.For that purpose, Kurandza built a small office made of mud and is using several huts from the village to hold literacy lessons, but they are growing really fast and they need to build a new learning center where all these girls and women can have a safe space to study and build a better future for themselves and their families. The new center will include, classrooms, a childcare room, a kitchen, a meeting room, among other spaces.

The Concept The learning center a safe place for the girls to learn and evolve, the center goals is sustainability either is socially or environmentally, that’s the base for healthy community. only a place of residence but also a vibrant hub of community life, where the diverse needs, aspirations, and experiences of staff members are celebrated and nurtured within the fabric of urban development.

The Learning center design concept came from journey of rivers, and how rivers meet at estuary and make extraordinary habitat that what we did in the project by making entrance as estuary to let everyone intact with each other and exchange experience same as African philosophy called ”Plaver tree” is a traditional place of gathering and meeting, under the shadow of which people express themselves on life in society.
