Contextual Analysis

Tram and bus are two public transport choices surrounding the site, and they are closely linked that can enhance rider-ship and are environmental-friendly. However, the lack of train adversely affects the experience and mobility as a major transport choice for community users in the distance. Additionally, the vast number of bike lanes are considerable to the bike riders. The combination of state routes, local routes, and bike lanes provide a hostile network and is beneficial to traffic security (Hu, Huang & Deng, 2013). Furthermore, the population density is intensive which may cause management problems but form cultural diversity. Moreover, the vast greenspaces surround the site which offers wider open spaces and aesthetic vision to the community users. Also, it distributes the popu-lation currency and reduce the pressure of keeping social distancing.

Open Space-Analysis

There are lots of public spaces and parks around the edges of union house, and they are well-connected by the accessible strategic pedestrians. Their connections create potential choices and mobility for the campus users. Especially post-COVID, the necessity of public space will be highlighted more.

Species Map - Analysis

There are 87 animal species and 200 plant species embracing the target site, and their genues are up to almost 220 units. Also, the threaten and rare plants occupy a relatively large proportion. Through the distribution map, major plants concentrate on west edge of Union house where provide a pleasant green space with canopies and facilities.

2

Microclimate - Analysis

During the midwinter, average daytime can reach almost nine hours per day, and the strongest wind direction comes from the north. Therefore, the southwest edge of union house is an optimal area where avoid the rough wind and gain sufficient sunlight in winter. In the midsummer, the average daytime climbs to 15 hours per day, and the strongest wind comes from the south. Hence, the northwest edge is an optimal choice where provides amount of cooling for tree canopy and avoid direct solar radiation.

Vegetation - Analysis

The landscape design is distributed evenly around the entire campus that can provide visual beauty and leisure public space in summer. The practicality and aesthetics are both considered on the campus. Also, diverse vegetation categories are advantageous of natural ecosystem and health of creatures. Furthermore, the indigenous vegetations are embracing the edges of union house. They can avoid soil degradation and offer a habitant for biodiversity like the threaten and rare species (NSW Government Environment, 2019). .

Stakehodler Analysis

Stakeholder Analysis – Administration Administration is a major stakeholder who involves multi-dimensional duties on the campus, like managing, organising, and monitoring. There-fore, their relationship is closely connected in social, environmental, and economical aspects. Especially post-COVID revitalising period, the public life of union house and responsibilities of administration will augment rap-idly and enormously. the iterative communication and partnership estab-lishing will enhance organisational effectiveness and address some practi-cal impediments. This allows amount of flexibility and diminish occur-rence of conflicts as well. However, the surge surveillance will intensify pressure on administration and campus users, and it maybe have adverse impact and slow down the progress. Stakeholder Analysis – Club/Club members Clubs and their club members are not highly involved, and adapting them-selves to changing circumstance. On the account of high level of population mobility, the edges of Union house become well-quality gathering places for them to recruit new members and advertise. Also, they are considered as significantly cultural agents on the campus. Their collaborations could facilitate more interest of cultural communications, enhance the diversity of places’ applications and improve the transcultural spatial awareness (Ma-teo-Babiano, 2020). Nevertheless, the clubs and their members maybe neg-atively influence movement of pedestrians and the business of shops. Con-sulting is a good way to engage with them, to develop a better plan to har-monise with the surrounding and shops.
