CONCLUSION
The outcome of the thesis is the design of the Innovative Learning Centre that is situated in a well-connected urban area to facilitate the raising of awareness on timber culture amongst the youths in the community. Furthermore, this centre celebrates knowledge by creating a gathering space for users to interact and help in the transfer of knowledge from different generations. The centre is designed with the application of contemporary timber-based technologies as its main structural material option as well as its defined quality of space. Ultimately, the Innovative Learning Centre is hoped to become the stepping stone for the rejuvenation of the timber culture, which in the future, could be a part of Malaysia’s architecture identity.
