Summary of the broad purpose of the position in relation to the organisation's goals

Our Graphic Desinger is responsible to the Associate Director and is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the quality of ZeD’s Corporate Identity Standards and the design needs for its online presence.

Our Graphic Designer will undertake high quality creative work on behalf of our clients, including the generation of new design concepts through to the production and delivery of the final product, in both print and online forums.

Our designer will also complete various projects within our clients design standards.

Reporting/working relationships •

Is directly responsible the Associate Director of ZED Consulting

•

Will liaise with our clients to ensure each project meets the agreed design brief, clarify any issues relating to the project at hand and to make edits as appropriate.

• Will provide support to our team of consultants in ensuring their design projects are of a high quality and meet the clients’ requirements.

• Liaises extensively with external supplies including but not limited to sign writers, printers, photographers, website designers etc.

The incumbent may be required to work out of hours

The incumbent may be required to travel or work in various locations across the State.

A flexible approach to the taking of leave is required

Statement of responsibilities and activities

The key responsibilities and activities undertaken our Graphic Designer include: • Ensuring a consistent, professional and quality image of ZeD Consulting through: •

Designing and executing the Corporate Identity Concepts into a corporate style and user friendly templates for use by the ZeD Team.

The design, layout and typesetting of various communication materials using the prescribed Corproate Identity templates and guidelines.

•

Extending the Corporate Identity creative concept through the development and design of new applications, templates and guidelines as appropriate.

•

Contribute to the adoption of the new templates and standards by providing support, assistance and advice to ZeD team members who are active users of the brand templates.

•

Designing graphics, sourcing images and maintaining our online presence via our website and social media channels.

• Creatively designing communication materials that convey the corporate image and messages that our clients are seeking and are of high quality.

Designing new creative concepts based on a creatve brief for our client’s selection.

Designing communication materials that are consistent with a client’s corporate identity standards.

Ensuring that appropriate processes and procedures to maintain a design and production house within the business are established and maintained.

Through maintaining accurate and current project files and record keeping systems to maximise efficiency in project delivery.

•

Coordinating the procurement of the production of communications materials such as brochures, signs, banners, merchandise, publications.

•

Coordinating the production of communication materials including print proofs, press checks and brochure delivery and distribution to the ZeD team lead, or client for whom we are undertaking the work for.

•

Liaising with the Project Manager, or client to ensure all approvals are obtainied in writing prior to production.

•

Maintaining an image library and archive of all design work produced.

Contribute to the work of ZeD through; •

Working as a member of the ZeD team

•

Contributing to the overall function of ZeD consulting including corporate planning, performance reviews, and providing support where required.

Essential Minimal Requirements Educational/vocational qualifications Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, Degree in Graphic Design or similar.

Abilities •

Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and prioritise work activities, achieving objectives within required timeframes and deadlines.

Proven ability to work uner limited direction either independently or as a team member in the achievement of agreed objectives.

Professional & Technical Skills: Our Graphic Designer will have the following personal and professional competencies:

Demonstrated extensive experience in Graphic Design using Mac based software such as Adobe Creative Cloud 2017 (In Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop & Acrobat), in addition to Microsoft Office for Mac.

•

Demonstrated experience in producing high quality materials at industry standard with high attention to detail.

•

Demonstrated experience in negotiating, securing and managing contracts for the production of communication materials.

•

Experience in working with a diverse group of clients with varying levels of design/publishing experience and/or understanding.

Demonstrated experience in working within a Corporate Identity Standard, including the creation of new concepts and design templates and the execution of existing templates.

•

Demonstrated conceptual Management.
