Rajan Mahtani Takes Legal Action Against Defamatory Articles on Zambia Reports Rajan Mahtani, the chairman of Mahtani Group of Companies, have taken steps against Zambia Reports for publishing defamatory articles against him. His lawyer has sent a legal notice to Zambia Reports for withdrawing all the false articles that have been published by them. All that Rajan Mahtani wanted as per the legal letter of demand was an immediate release of public apology by Zambia Reports and the withdrawal of those articles by 1st of July 2014. If Zambia Reports or its journalists who wrote those articles do not pay any heed to this legal notice within the date that has been specified above, the lawyers of Rajan Mahtani claimed that they would be bound to start legal proceedings against them and claim general and exemplary damages for the defamation as well as an injunction restraining the publication of malicious statements, which is harming Rajan Mahtani’s reputation.
