2 NEW FACES AT FERRARI MARCUS CAMPAGNA Marcus Campagna has worked with Zagame Automotive since February 2019. Late last year, Marcus was promoted to the position of General Manager at Ferrari Melbourne.

WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOU WERE AT FERRARI? Prior to being at Ferrari, I was the General Sales Manager at Audi Centre Melbourne, and prior to that held various senior positions with Mercedes-Benz Melbourne between 2013-2018.

WHAT HAVE YOU LOVED THE MOST, SO FAR, BEING WITH FERRARI? Playing to my heritage. My family background is from Trieste in Northern Italy. Ever since I was young it’s always been a childhood dream to work for Ferrari and even if you visit my office now, you will see the Ferrari model cars I played with when I was younger. I have always obsessed with Ferrari.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ONE CAR TO DRIVE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY? The ultimate family car from Maranello. The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso, because it symbolizes two things. The best of both worlds, being a four-seater so I can take the kids.

And everything that Ferrari is, being a sportscar brand.

IF YOU COULD WORK FOR ANOTHER ZAGAME BRAND, ALONG WITH FERRARI, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY? I’d probably choose Alfa Romeo. Outside of work I own an Alfa, I have a 1971 Alfa Romeo Giulia super. It was the original sports saloon.

ENTER THE DRAGON In early October last year, Aston Martin Melbourne hosted its first ever Chinese event.

Over 90 Chinese guests attended the showroom for an exclusive introduction to the brand. The all new Aston Martin DBS Volante was also launched on the night, with Kristian Dewsnap educating the audience on the rich heritage and bespoke craftsmanship of the admired brand, while Kevin Yim was present to represent the Zagame Automotive brand and communicate with attendees in Mandarin.

The guests were treated to the finest seafood and specialty beverages, followed by an extravagant glow in the dark dragon show and a drumming set.

10 QUESTIONS WITH LARA GIBSON Lara Gibson is a technician at Audi West Melbourne, she has been with Zagame since July 2018.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT ZAGAME AUTOMOTIVE? I am currently employed as a diagnostic technician, but I am on the training pathway to become a master technician and should have completed the qualification by the end of the year. I also help out in other roles when needed, such as workshop controlling and quality controlling, and I act as a mentor for apprentices going through the ACAP training.

WHAT GOT YOU INTO THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY? I had never planned on pursuing a career in the automotive field, and I sort of fell into the industry. I always had an interest in cars, so I enrolled in a TAFE course to learn the basics, and got offered an apprenticeship on enrolment day. At the time I was living in Canberra and working a couple of casual jobs, and when I was offered an apprenticeship, I couldn’t see any reason to turn it down.

FERRARI PASSION DAY 2019 Ferrari Passion Day is an annual event the entire family can enjoy, hosted by every Ferrari dealer around Australia.

The day provides the general public with access into the dealership to enjoy the Ferrari brand and unique cars. Both Ferrari Richmond and Adelaide put on entertainment, a spread of food, hot beverages for Melbourne, and gelato in Adelaide. Something new for the Melbourne dealership was an exclusive Ferrari Car Club space, where owners enjoyed their very own grazing table and bar.
