Zafferano Tableware è un marchio dell’azienda fondata nel 2001 dal designer veneziano Federico de Majo, con l’obiettivo di decorare e personalizzare la tavola, dando massima espressione alla funzionalità e all’estetica del design italiano.

Il catalogo propone un’ampia gamma di collezioni accomunate dalla costante ricerca di nuove forme e materiali, dalla cura dello stile e del dettaglio, e dall’indispensabile funzionalità dei prodotti.

Bicchieri e accessori in vetro colorato, calici da degustazione, stoviglie in ceramica e porcellana: un universo di prodotti unici e inconfondibili che decorano con colore la tavola, creando di volta in volta fantasiose combinazioni cromatiche e di linee.

The international brand animated by all-Italian passion

Zafferano Tableware, a brand of the Italian company directed by Venetian-born Federico de Majo, was founded in 2001 with the aim of creating a world of objects to embellish and customise the dining table, while fully expressing the functionality and aesthetic appeal of Italian design.

The catalogue offers a wide range of tableware accessories, whose common theme is the company’s ongoing focus on pursuing new shapes and materials, the meticulous attention to detail and style, without ever never losing sight of the functionality of its products.

Coloured glass tumblers and accessories, wine testing glasses, porcelainware: a universe of unique and unmistakable products intended to embellish the dining table with colours, each time providing creative combinations of colours and shapes.

Dall’ampio bagaglio di esperienza maturata da Federico de Majo nel corso degli anni di appassionato lavoro nel mondo del vetro, nascono le collezioni di bicchieri e oggetti per la tavola in vetro colorato firmati Zafferano.

Ispirati alle forme semplici e alle tonalità della più antica tradizione del vetro soffiato e lavorato a mano, pur con interpretazioni innovative, i prodotti Zafferano sono il complemento ideale per decorare la tavola con elementi di pregio e di suggestivo impatto estetico.

The blend of passion and experience accumulated over the years by Federico de Majo has given rise to the Zafferano series of tumblers and tableware in coloured glass. Inspired by the simple shapes and colours of the ancient tradition of hand-worked, hand-blown glass, and yet manifesting innovative interpretations, the Zafferano products go to make an ideal complement for adorning the table with objects of value and charming aesthetic impact.

La qualità della lavorazione artigianale, accompagnata al design italiano, da valore a queste collezioni; pertanto, piccole eventuali difformità sono da ritenersi autentico pregio, testimoni delle caratteristiche di eccellenza artigianale. Lavabili in lavastoviglie a 60°. Ogni singolo pezzo è firmato, a garanzia dell’originalità del prodotto, curato nel dettaglio.

It is precisely the quality of the craftmanship, accompanied by the Italian design, that makes these collections so distinguishable on the international market. As such, any small flaws should be considered an element of authentic added value that bears witness to the characteristics of the excellent craftmanship here. Zafferano glassware is dishwasher safe (60°). Each single piece is marked, thus guaranteeing the originality of the product, without the utmost care of any detail.

Patéa

La nuova collezione Patéa, realizzata a mano in vetro borosilicato resistente agli shock termici, è composta da sette modelli: tumbler, tumbler alto e mug con decoro in sei colori; caraffa, caraffa alta, e quattro vasi (in diverse varianti di forma e dimensione), con decori in quattro colori.

The new Patéa collection, handcrafted from heat-shock resistant borosilicate glass, consists of seven models: tumbler, high tumbler, and mug with decoration in six colors; carafe, tall carafe, and four vases (varying in shape and size), with decorations in four colors.

Il piacere di bere inizia dal bicchiere. Più precisamente, dal calice.

A seconda della forma del calice il vino dona in modo diverso il suo patrimonio di aromi e sapori. Questo significa che lo stesso vino presenta sfumature diverse a seconda del calice in cui viene versato. La corretta scelta del calice permette alla bevanda di esprimere ogni sua virtù; e la scelta è tanto più importante, quanto più nobile è il vino in questione.

Ma la funzionalità è solo uno degli aspetti da valutare, perché ai calici si richiedono anche eleganza e raffinatezza. I calici Zafferano, realizzati in vetro sonoro superiore, abbinano un sofisticato gusto estetico al contenuto tecnico. L’alta qualità del materiale, opportunamente selezionato per la produzione di calici da degustazione, garantisce trasparenza, elasticità e resistenza ai lavaggi.

The pleasure of drinking wine begins with the glass.

The shape of the bowl determines how the wealth of aromas and flavours in a wine will be released. This means that a given wine will have different nuances, depending on the glass it is poured into. Selection of the right glass will allow the wine to express all its particular qualities, and the nobler the wine, the more important the selection becomes. And yet, function is only one of several considerations: wine glasses must also display elegance and refinement. Zafferano glasses combine visual sophistication and technical content to perfection. Importantly, the high quality of the glass – selected with particular care for the production of tasters –guarantee clarity, elasticity and resistance to washing.

In addition to wine glasses, the Zafferano collection comprises tumblers and a decanter.

Le collezioni in ceramica e porcellana firmate Zafferano nascono per offrire prodotti funzionali ed esteticamente originali con cui valorizzare la presentazione del cibo e il servizio in tavola. Alla ricerca di tecniche produttive e soluzioni nuove, assecondando lo spirito creativo e innovativo che è nel DNA del marchio, Zafferano ha scoperto a Civita Castellana, storico borgo viterbese, un prezioso patrimonio di conoscenze nella lavorazione delle argille che risale al X secolo a.C. Qui, le tradizionali tecniche della produzione artigianale di ceramica si sono tramandate integralmente, e ancora oggi sono usate nella creazione di manufatti pregiati, dalla bellezza senza tempo. Da questa visione condivisa è nata la partnership con una fabbrica locale che permette a Zafferano di contare su una produzione “made in Italy”, realizzata e decorata a mano su disegno esclusivo o personalizzata su richiesta. In queste lavorazioni, lo stoneware è il materiale privilegiato: robusto e compatto, garantisce durezza e impermeabilità, resistente al lavaggio in lavastoviglie e alle rigature della posateria.

The dinnerware collections by Zafferano have been created to provide functional and aesthetically original elements for presenting food. In the search for new production techniques and solutions, consistent with the creative and innovative spirit that are in the brand’s DNA, Zafferano has identified in the historic village of Civita Castellana, near Rome, a precious wealth of knowledge in the art of clay working dating back to the 10th century BC. Here, the ancient craft techniques of pottery production have been handed down in their entirety and are still used today to create precious artefacts whose beauty is timeless. This common vision has encouraged a partnership with one of the last historic workshops in this district: this venture allows Zafferano to count on made-in-Italy manufacturing of objects which are hand-decorated to exclusive design or customized on request. In these products, stoneware is the most popular material: tough and compact, hard and waterproof, stoneware is dishwasher- and resistant to cutlery scratches.
