MOTIVATION LATTER There is a powerful driving force inside every human being, that once being unleashed, can make my desire be a reality. In the meaning, if those being leased, it all will only be in the mind of ours and be a hallucination forever.

As for myself, that driving force is leading me here, which is being a candidate for NORA development assistant for capacity building 2021\2022.

I'm Zahraa Adnan Jabur, fifth stage pharmacy student at Basra university who is really grateful to discover SCORA more.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

This sentence always motivated me to work in SCORA and gave me the power to continue my SRHR dream and make a change even if it was only for one person.

In the past year I have found a love for student activism i did not know i had through taking an active role within IFMSA especially SCORA. Through this organization, one feels a sense of fulfilment through our events, as well as a sense of belonging and finding a passion in something you have been looking for a long time.

SCORA taught me a lot , it taught me a great world I never imagined was real, full of incredible passionate people, eager to change the world. It give me the courage to raise my voice and defense my rights

MOTIVATION LATTER I believe my strong educational background and extensive experience in the field will be an asset to SCORA. I have always been passionate about developing my standing committee, and I know that my love of the SC will make my transition into the team very smooth.

At the first time I was really fearful of this experience, but now, I’m filled with motivation to face this challenge, along with love for sexual and reproductive and education so that why I thought I can’t lose this chance again.

Why NORA DACB ?

The point of all this is I could build a great team when I was a new member spent just 5 months in IFMSA but now after all the opportunities I took and being as TSRHRT trainer, I have a huge passion to put my experience with all tools I took to build one of the greatest teams in our NMO. SCORA became part of me and it gave me a lot, so I will always be my own to her so I decided today to apply as NORA Development Assistant for Capacity Building for the 2021/2022 term and hope to build a magnificent team to SCORA in our NMO as what I built in my LC to make SCORA shining as we are used to.

PLAN OF ACTION My plan of action was created based on the NORA DACB tasks that are detailed in IFMSA-IRAQ constitution and bylaws, SCORA international regulations, as well as my personal observation.so I will introduce it to this position and I promise I will do my best to make it happen as much as I can if I appointed.

Infrastructure Need assessment Sharing needs assessment with our LORAs and SCORAngels to get an idea about their needs and working with my NT and other DACBs on a plan to develop and solve it to ensure we are working on the same steps together to reach our goal.

Following up with LORAs and SCORAngels by meetings, inputs and other data collection to have the best outcome

Annual plan -i will review NORA and other SCORA assistants' plans and work with them to reach the proper procedure to make it happen.

-working with CBD DA and other SC DACBs for our goals, objectives and how we can empower our SCs.

SCORA manuals Give SCORA NT the help in updating SCORA manuals and brainstorming to add a new activity or articles on it.

SCORA strategy and policy I will work with NORA to open calls for SWGs for strategy and policy about what we need as a priority for our term making a clear structure for SCORA working in our NMO.

Toolkit I will work with my NT on reviewing all SCORA toolkits available and updating them if it was required for our term.

PLAN OF ACTION Resource center Making SCORA resource centres that have all the raw materials, manuals and previous handouts and information that relate to our focus area, and we can divide it to include: TSRHRT Trainers, LORAs and SCORAngels. This will help them with their sessions, projects and to know SCORA better.

Standing Committee Empowerment and development Think globally and act locally … that’s exactly what i plan on doing Competency model I will working with SCORA NT, CBDD DA and other DACBs on activity management to ensure the proper establishment of basic skills, information and knowledge they need to gain and be oriented about for their further development of work inside our standing committee -Ensure that we use more than one evaluation method to ensure we receive the best outcome possible

Sub Regional Training I will work closely with NORA, CBDD and CBD DA to host SCORA internal workshop this term to ensure the best capacitance for our SCORAngels by preparing proposals, workshop materials and all its needs.

National Camps SCORA national camps consider one of most important activity in SCORA which reinforce to us by a lot of benefit like SCORAngels gathering from all different LCs and have a good experience through so i will work with SCORA NT this term on physical and online version of it to ensure we can reach SCORAngels as much as we can.

PLAN OF ACTION Approachability I will be an active presence at all national team meetings, meetings with LORAs, and any project meetings I will work on. As well as on social media and email to ensure the fallibility of our work and our needs.

Sustainability HandOver Manual To ensure a smooth transition from one NT to the next, utilising the competency model, my team and I would construct a handover manual during our term to highlight challenges and struggles during the implementation of the working plan and strategies employed to cater to them. Sharing it later for upcoming teams, to ensure the development of SCORA work during the years.

Next SCORA DACBs I will try to empower the LORAs and SCORAngels who are motivated about SCORA and Capacity building work and give the the tools they need to candidate for SCORA DACB for the next term and i will be always with them even for the next term until they learn everything to ensure sustainability with my work in SCORA.

Training Pool I think it will be a very important step to have all our officers registered in the training pool, this will enhance their abilities and give them more experience within IFMSA, so I will help and encourage them to do this step by explaining them about it, give them the tools they need, check on their session design and portfolios and helping them with the process.

PLAN OF ACTION SCORA Trainers and Facilitators Database It will involve all information about our active trainers and facilitators in a database regularly to make it easier for us to reach them and document all our resources for long terms.

SCORA Image To continue the effort we spent the last years on SCORA social media campaigns to raise awareness about our vision of the world we can create a unified template design for posts with the other SCORA national team. As I have a good experience with graphic design, I can help doing this by taking input from the MMSD team for sustainability of our standing committees.

Previous terms I will working on finishing all the uncompleted work or projects of the previous terms with my NT

SCORA Calendar I thought to work with my national team in SCORA on our special calendar, It will involve all special dates subject that SCORA interested in like (25 September the day for abortion) and so on.it will help us to informed IFMSA members and other on SCORA focus area and what we advocate about.

We can post special posts on these days or organise our campaigns or sessions to get world priority.

PLAN OF ACTION Team Building Now this is my favorite part, i will work on it by different method: -attend meetings with the previous SCORA DACB to get my handover and -give out LORAs the motivation and support to participate in our activity in local and national level by telling them the outcome of this work and helping them do it -asking them about feedback after every project we make and making them feel valunable by taking it into consideration, this will help them to note the small mistake in their work and try to avoid it in the future.

-make a work environment like a safe space for them and make them feel we are not an employee in a company and no one has the power over them, this will help them to introduce their plans and thoughts more with us.

-asking them about future plans within IFMSA, especially SCORA, and try to help them with it and give them the tools they need to ensure SCORA will be safe in the next term.

-i will try my best to help my SCORA national team and give them the help they need with their tasks if they need me, attend all meetings with them, asking them about their feedback and inputs in my work.
