This thesis project reexamines the relationship between built environment and manufacturing activity. It argues that the future factory-like environemnts should be imagined as a sptial relection of the 21th century craftmanship instead of being the symbol of capitalised manufacture. They should have less permanent contribution to global mass production, but having lager impact on shaping value of craftsmanship that inspired the engaged craftsmen in aspect of thinking, making, cooperation and innovation both phycially and mentally.
