I am Yuxin, originally from Yantai, China. I began my education and life in Melbourne from high school onwards. After completing my postgraduate studies, I returned to Shenzhen, China, and embarked on a 1.5year career in landscape architecture.
I chose two street design projects because they each represent the corresponding design policies adopted by cities at different stages of development. At the same time, both projects involve transforming car-oriented street designs into pedestrian-friendly streets.
During my work, I deeply realized the complexities and challenges of landscape design, from conceptualization to implementation. A successful project requires not only thorough site investigations and innovative design concepts but also close communication with stakeholders and relevant departments at every stage of the project's development, ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration.
