A Class Apart FLOWERS DAY CELEBRATED AT TRINITY SCHOOL

W

ith the arrival of colder weather, foggy days and laziness are all too common. To break up the monotony, the Primary Wing of Trinity School celebrated Flower Day by making the environment colourful. On August 27, 2022, our students celebrated Flowers Day on the school grounds. The concept's goal was to delve into the world of flowers. Children wore dresses, accessories, and hats that were creatively embellished with flowers. They were all dressed beautifully. The activity was not only refreshing due to the bright flowers, but it also assisted students in differentiating between different flowers and their

colours. The blossoming buds adorned their classrooms with various flowers. Furthermore, the children were encouraged to share whatever they knew about God's amazing gift to mankind. They discussed the various types of flowers, their significance, and their applications. This is what we mean when we talk about activity-based learning. Simple concepts such as flowers can be taught to children in novel ways that have a longlasting impact on their minds. Audio-visual learning, concept reinforcement, motor skill development, and fun-learning all occur concurrently through such activities.

Bliss is in earning big And happiness in settling abroad Such were my fantasies Until one day, the motherland called. In the past, the nucleus of civilization At present, an active mitochondrion, And in the future, a forerunner to many This country has a huge legacy! I traversed the antique shades of saffron I explored the uniform white I noticed the diverse green And amused at how it all merged. Having been rich amongst rags And with a vision to achieve everything under the sun, My nation has shown. That it is second to none. With a great nation comes great citizenship. Encouraging unity in diversity, Fostering the economy of our dreams, And remembering those immortal souls Shall we live as law-abiding Indians. And then did I understand, Bliss is in patriotism. And happiness in national duty! Vande Mataram! SHRAVAN A, 9F, The PSBB Millennium School

Celebration of the child-god

anmashtami is .the festival which celebrates the birth of the mischievous and naughty god, Lord Krishna. It usually falls on the months August or September, as the date differs due to the Rohini star not falling on the same day. There are many myths and stories on how Krishna was born. Throughout his life, he was vanishing all his enemies, though he never became a king. But he captured all the trust and love of the citizens. Once, he helped the Pandavas when they were fighting a war with their cousins. He always stood beside dharma and only was Arjun’s charioteer. When Arjun decided to not to fight, Krishna helped him regain his confidence and taught him the righteousness of a warrior. This advice was made into a book known as the Gita. On this auspicious day, we worship Lord Krishna with butter and flattened rice (poha). It is also said that he comes to our house to bless us.
