FRUSKA GORA TOUR Day 1 Arrival to Belgrade Airport, welcome by Rubicon Travel speaking professional guide.

Transfer to Sremski Karlovci, cultural, educational and spiritual center. Walk along the beautiful baroque center : the Patriarchal Residence, the Saint Nicholas Church, the Gymnasium, the Four Lions Fountain… Accommodation in 5 stars centrally located hotel in Sremski Karlovci. Day 2 After breakfast drive to Novi Sad /18 km/ and city tour : the City Hall, Cathedral, Liberty Square, pedestrian zone of Zmaj Jovina street… Drive to the central part of the Fruska Gora Mt/NP and big traditional lunch /lamb cooked in milk in ceramic pot/ in the restaurant.

Continue to the Rakovac Monastery and visit. Drive on to the Winery in Banostor village and wine tasting in authentic wine cellar, with traditional snacks. Return to Sremski Karlovci hotel, overnight /wellness available/.

Day 3 After breakfast drive to Belgrade and hotel accommodation. 2,5 hours Belgrade city tour : the Parliament, National Theater, Saint Sava Orthodox Cathedral, Kalemegdan Fortress… Free time at leisure. Big farewell dinner in Skadarlija Restaurant with live music.

Day 2 After breakfast Novi Sad city tour – the City Hall, Vojvodina Parliament, Zmaj Jovina pedestrian zone…. Historical lecture – introduction into the heroic Battles and events of the Cer and Kolubara Battles at the Tekeris Memorial of the First WW. Day 4 After breakfast bus drive to Visegrad /Bosnia and Herzegovina/ and tour of the Old Visegrad Bridge, UNESCO site. Visit to the Andric grad, Kamengrad and sightseeing, followed with lunch. Return by bus from Visegrad to Zlatibor. Traditional dinner, overnight.

Day 5 After breakfast full day excursion including visits to : the most beautiful parts of the Tara National Park /introductory film on the NP/, Zlatibor Mt – the most famous mountainous tourist center of Serbia /short walk along the lake and the traditional market/, Staro Selo Sirogojno Open Air Museum, presenting the life of Dinaric population of the 19th century, followed with the big traditional lunch, and presentation show of the famous Sirogojno Style handwork and the Sirogojno Company dried fruits of extraordinary quality = raspberries, blackberries and cranberries tasting. Day 6 After breakfast Sargan train ride along the Mokra Gora Nature Park /ca 2 hours of ride through beautiful scenery/. SERBIA ADVENTURE Day 1 Arrival at Belgrade airport. Meet and greet. Departure by bus to the region of southwestern Serbia (230 km). Stop at Sirogojno village, with open air ethno museum of old national houses, traditional handicrafts, galleries and shops.

Lunch at the National restaurant. Arrival and accommodation at Vranesa ethno and eco resort hotel, located at Zlatar mountain. This mountain is an unusual oasis of natural beauty, clean air and high coniferous woods, pastures, clearings and breath-taking landscapes. Time at leisure. Wellness possibilities. Day 2 Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by bus, passing by the beautiful landscape of Zlatar mountain to the mountain of Kamena Gora (Stone Mountain) Magnificent landscape and exceptional beauty. Bus transfer to the lake at Zlatar mountain. Stop at Sjenicko lake for a photo session and observation of one of the Europe an biggest nests of Whitehead Eagle (Griffon Vulture) in their natural habitat. Jeep off road cruising, in a convoy, through the Uvac Special Natural Reserve, at Javor mountain.

River Uvac is worldwide known for its famous geomorphologic phenomenon: meanders, canyon, and numerous nests of different kind of birds. Hike up to the mountain peak of Molitva hill visitor center, for a photo session of unforgettable view of Uvac lake and its meanders. Jeep down hill drive to Markova Ravan , the rangers camp, at the shore of Uvac lake. Lunch at Uvac lake shore camp.

Motor Boat cruising (1 hour) at the lake meanders, in the canyon, between high mountain rocks while watching the Whitehaed eagles (Griffon Vulture) babies in their nests. Stop and visit to the „Ice cave“ under the lake shore, well known for the cave ornaments. Free time at the lake shore. Jeep drive to the city of Sjenica. Accommodation at the small hotel located in the forest near the city. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 3 Breakfast at the hotel. Jeep ride of the Pester Highland. From the mountain crest, highly over the gorge and river Lim, is a wonderful view of Montenegro landscape. Visit to Kumanica, Serbian medieval Monastery (XIV Century) and a very respected shrine of local population.

Rafting on the fast, clean and green mountain river Lim, through the canyon, to the city of Brodarevo (2 hours; rafting clothes available).

Jeep tour up to the mountain of Jadovnik to the Natural Park of Sopotnica falls. Hike up to Sopotnica visitor center and falls, repaired old water mills and houses. Lunch at the mountain house, near the Sopotnica falls. Bus transfer to Mileseva (XII Century), Serbian medieval monastery with the worldwide known frescoe, one of the most famous in the Orthodox world, of the „White Angel”. Dinner and overnight at Zlatibor area.

Day 4 Bus transfer to Belgrade. Stop at the small city of Topola and visit of St George Royal Church, mausoleum and museum of Karadjordjevic Dynasty, the last Serbian and Yugoslav Royal Dynasty.

Visit to the Royal vineyard and wine cellar. Arrival to Belgrade and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 1 Belgrade/Smederevo fortress/Silver Lake/Golubac fortress/Kladovo Departure towards Smederevo (47 km). Smederevo is the small city on Danube river with the largest existed plain fortress in Europe that spread over 11 ha. The fortress was build in 1429.

The fall of Smederevo fortress in 1459. marked the end of Serbian Medieval State. Visit of the Castle of Smederevo. Coffee break in the city center.

Departure toward Silver Lake resort (63 km). Silver Lake Resort is situated at 3 km from Veliko Gradište. Former side arm of the Danube river, the lake is 14 km long and rich with the fish and due to the proximity of Belgrade very popular among tourists and fisherman. The world largest carp, weighing 44 kg was fished out of this lake. Lunch at Silver Lake resort.

Departure toward Golubac. Arrival in Golubac, attractive little city, yachting center on Danube.

Here one can admire the wonderful view of the Danube river that is 6 km wide. Visit of the Fortress of Golubac. The fortress is situated at the beginning of the National Park of DjĐerdap where the Danube enters the Djerdap Gorge. The medieval fortress, built in 1291. stands on an inaccessible rock on the right bank of the Danube.

From Golubac we continue the journey through the gorge of Danube. Four gorges (Golubac, Kazan, Sipin and Gospodjin Vir) with three basins dividing them make Djerdap the longest and oldest water breakthrough in Europe. This Gorge is considered a natural park with the longest geological history in Europe but also an open archeological museum. In the 2800 km of its length, the Danube is nowhere as deep and narrow as it is here: in Mali and Velikin Kazan the river is deep 105 m. Arrival in Kladovo. Accommodation in the „Danubius aquastar Hotel“ in Kladovo. Free time. Overnight.

Day 2 Kladovo /Lepenski Vir/Viminacium Breakfast. Check out. Boat visit of the Kladovo’s most interesting archeological spots: remains of the Traian bridge and the Fetislam fortress. Visit of the Kladovo’s Archeological museum.

Departure for Lepenski Vir archeological site (70 km).

Arrival in Lepenski Vir. Walking tour of the site. Coffee break. Lepenski Vir is one of the oldest urban settlement in Europe dating 7000 BC. The first inhabitants of Lepenski Vir did not live in caves but were familiar with complicated urbanism rules and construction systems and had an enviable mathematical knowledge. Beside that inhabitants of Lepenski Vir had a fascinating expressive fish-like head sculpture. Departure toward Golubac. Lunch at Silver Lake resort.

Departure toward Viminacium (42 km). Once a great Roman town and a capital of Moesia Superior, Viminacium is today one of the biggest archeological sites in Serbia. Founded in I century AD as a camp for VII legia Claudia, Viminacium developed quickly due to the favorable geographical position. In Emperor’s Hadrian time it was declared town and in 239. it was given a status of Roman colony and a right to minting. Several memorial edifices as well as fresco painted tombs, water supply sistem and a huge necropolis were found in Viminacium.

Viminacium is one of the rare provincial capital cities without a large settlement built on its remains unlike Sirmium, Singidunum or Thessalonica. Departure towards Belgrade (93 km).
