Participants who require a visa to enter Indonesia will be required to contact their local Indonesian Embassy/Consulate to apply for visa. ASEAN countries are able to enter Indonesia visa-free, while Visa on Arrival (VoA) is required for participants outside ASEAN countries. Please note the visa process may be lengthy, hence the participants are encouraged to arrange for their visa application promptly.
The requirements to obtain Visa on Arrival are as follows :
• Passport with 6 month validity upon date of entry;
• Return or onward ticket (which indicates the date of departure from Indonesia);
• Visa on Arrival fee Rp. 500.000,
• Other relevant documents as requested by Covid 19 Task Force (please refer to https://kemlu.go.id/bern/en/news/17810/enteringindonesia updatedon2august2022)
It is vital that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date you arrive in Indonesia otherwise the Indonesian authorities will not grant you access into the country.
“
PeduliLindungi” is an integrated application developed by the Ministry of Health (MoH) Republic of Indonesia to accelerate the handling of COVID 19 pandemic through testing, tracing, and treatment (3T). All features are created to ensure that all citizens can travel safely and comfortably in public spaces. The MoH has implemented a multi-layered security system for applications, infrastructure, and encrypted data to ensure the protection of users' personal data.
When you download PeduliLindungi, the system will request for your consent to access your location data, especially in public areas. This will help the government to identify COVID 19 close contacts who may need further treatment.
In view of data security and privacy, all users’ data in this application is stored securely in an encrypted format and will not be shared with others unless you are identified as COVID 19 close contact and need to be contacted immediately by a healthcare officer.
We are using Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for all transactions. Use money changer of your choice to convert your currency to IDR.
It would be better for you to always have cash in local currency as certain merchant can only accept cash for payment (e.g. payment for taxi fare) Therefore, we advise you to do the currency exchange before your departure to Indonesia.
The Government of Indonesia has renewed its regulation for international travelers through Covid 19 Task Force Circular Letter No. 22/2022 Covid 19 Task Force Circular Letter No. 22/2022: Health Protocols for International Travel Amid CoronaVirus Disease 2019 (Covid 19) Pandemic. This regulation must be obeyed by Non Indonesian Citizens and Indonesian Citizens who wish to travel to Indonesia.

• For international travelers under the age of 18 years and/or requiring exceptional protection, the requirements for vaccination and quarantine period follow the provisions of the parents/legal guardians/travel companions.
Upon arrival in Indonesia, international travelers (both Indonesian citizens and foreigners) who are eligible to enter Indonesia based on vaccination status or completed quarantine period, will get a temporary GREEN status for 30 days in the “PeduliLindungi” application.
With that status, you can travel domestically in Indonesia for 30 days. However, you are still required to comply with health protocols and travel regulations in the country, including filling out a domestic e HAC in the “PeduliLindungi” application before traveling.
When you arrive at the Indonesian airport/port, you need to show your QR code profile at “PeduliLindungi” application. Then, the authorized officer(s) will direct you to the appointed health checkpoint(s) for verification of required documents requirements and body temperature screening.
•
If you have no COVID 19 symptoms and your body temperature is below 37.5 degrees Celsius, you are eligible to continue your trip with temporary green status for 30 days in the “PeduliLindungi” application.
• If you show COVID-19 symptoms or your body temperature exceeds 37.5 degrees Celsius, you have to do RT PCR test at the airport/port and wait for the result in the hotel.
• You are not allowed to go outside the hotel and interact with other people while waiting for the RT PCR test.
If the test result is negative, you are allowed to travel domestically. However, if the test results are positive, you need to isolate in accordance with applicable regulations. International travelers under the age of 18 are also required to undergo isolation if their parents or caregivers/travel companions are tested positive for COVID 19.
The cost of the COVID 19 RT PCR test for foreigners will be charged independently, while for Indonesian citizens covered by the government (free).
You are prohibited from traveling domestically if the RT PCR test at the airport/port shows a positive result of COVID 19. You will get BLACK status in the “PeduliLindungi” application and is required to isolate under the following conditions:
If you are tested positive yet have no symptoms or experience mild symptoms only, you are required to do isolation or get treatment at a hotel (for both Indonesian citizens and foreigners).
If you have moderate or severe symptoms and/or with uncontrolled comorbidities, you are required to do isolation or get treatment at a COVID 19 referral hospital within the time period recommended by the doctor

Indonesia is an equatorial country and is the world’s most expansive archipelago. Indonesia tends to have a relatively even climate throughout the year, with a uniform temperature, high humidity and at times, abundant rainfall. In most parts of Indonesia, the wet season falls between October and April and the dry season between May and September. The average daily temperature ranges from 26°C to 32°C with an average relative humidity of 75%. Rain and high humidity are to be expected in November; thus we recommend bringing an umbrella with you as a precaution.
